[APP][Pro] Insights Graphs

Again @Menno_van_Hout

For now i won’t speak about that publicly

Menno’s apps, including this one, were removed from the Homey App Store this morning. For Homey Pro 2023 users, the apps can still be installed via HC-store.app, but users of older Homey models will need to find an alternative.

@Homey-Cornelisse Thanks for your answer.

Hi @Emile and @Doekse,

Apparently Homey and Menno van Hout are not happy with each other. Probable has something to do with HDashboards. Concerning this there is only one victum. All Homey users. This concerns me.

1 Why can an app developer retract his app from the store. Ones he / she upload it’s newest version he should not be able to retract the app.

2 Every not Homey Store should be blocked.

When you (Homey) won’t do anything about this it will be the beginning of the end.

I love Homey. I really do. I go to bed with Homey and I wake-up with Homey.

I disagree a lot with your comment.

Im the author of my own code, made for no money in my private time. As author and owner of my own code i can take it offline whenever i want to.

If homey would make me sign a paper to take over authority over my code i would have never ever made any app.

I have nothing against the person Menno van Hout but I do where this is going. You are doing this obviously out of anger. And the Homey users are the victum of this.

I want to open up a discussion. I will stop now. It’s up to Homey how to react.

Hi Roger,

Wish to support your concerns by saying that the homey and their respected (free-time) contributors are such high level that users (in particular me) depend on the apps and implement the apps to organize things around the house or business. Depending on free developers is dangerous but again, the platform is pro+ and no strange occurances (like whats going on here) can be taken into account. If we do take this into account, we cannot use the homey.

There is obviously a reason why @Menno_van_Hout decides to disadvantage the homey users. I have 5 homeys pro 2019 so this has an impact. Wish to ask @Menno_van_Hout to reconsider his thoughts and think about the original reason of your app developments, that was never for reason to retract it and disappoint users, was it?

Sorry to say but years of experience in the field allows me to say that discussions are only useful if the price is right, not the damage.

Hope your reconsider Menno!

@Phil_Bro

Sorry to say…

Hmmm. Now that is toplevel irritation!

Do you happen to know the answer on this:

For Homey Pro 2023 users, the apps can still be installed via HC-store.app, but users of older Homey models will need to find an alternative.

I would like to see if I can solve the issues in my flows with some kind of alternative, but the message points to no solution @ALL.

Why not install from the Homey App store? Insights Graphs App for Homey | Homey

You are just right! The version 2.0.5 is working ok. Instantly set auto update off. Let’s see from here. For now, thanks @Dijker !

This is truly unfortunate. Does anyone know of a good alternative to Insights Graphs?

For me it is working for now on a HP19.

My timeline says: this app is not supported anymore. Running version 2.0.5 auto update off
The app is running by the way, but no output but error.

EDIT: when app is reset, it works for once.
EDIT2: Reset APP In the same flow + continu flow for now, see what it brings.

Solution anyone?

Re install the app from the official homey store will fix it.

Just did, thanks! We’ll see this evening @ 22u if all went ok.

Thank you @Menno_van_Hout !
Now it works for me again.

Looks like a nice app.

But I create overviews by overlaying mutiple graphics, like Energy from solarpanels and powerusage from my house.

Can this be done also ?

Technically on the app side yes. However homey doesn’t have any way of implementing an multiple input field for flow cards. So the homey system is laking the features.
