[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Are you using a separate account for eufy inside homey? Or is that account also used in the eufy app on your phone?

@Michael_PA4MIC that’s strange.
It should also reconnect automatically…

Restart of the app would also help btw. It’s not ideal, but it keeps the memory of this app low and it logs you in again.

Personally I do a nightly restart of my Homey just to reset everything. A lot of are memory increasing.

Ofcourse this is not a solution, i’ll try to run on my spare Homey and see when it disconnects. This is something i have to try reproduce

Didn’t try to restart app so I tested it now and that fix also the issue. So for now I made an flow to restart the app every night, let’s see how that goes.

It could be an problem in homey software it self as I have almost the same problems with danalock app. This is now with Homey as the dev from danalock app concluded it was not in his app and could not look in the homey layer what happens.

@Ralph_Z if you clicked the link in the post you replied to ([APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #5743 by martijnpoppen) you’ll see that the request is still open. So no not possible

@Ralph_Z as said in the post you replied to I’m waiting for it to be added to the SDK. So the link I shared is from the SDK. So it’s not yet in the SDK

And bropat is the developer working on the SDK :wink:

Hi!

Thank you for a great app!

I was wondering if it’s possible to deactivate last recorded thumbnail in the device setting for the security cameras (s350)?

When someone in the household clicks on a camera device I’d prefer that the “latest” snapshot wouldn’t be available to see.

It’s a very good feature, but I’d prefer to have it not easily visible/accessible.

I couldn’t disable this feature myself and was wondering if it’s possible to disable this in any way?

If you’d ever be interested in a “toggle” function to enable/disable snapshot “visibility” in the device settings, then there is at least one happy user (me) waiting for this! :blush::pray:

And if it’s too complicated or too unpopular request, then I of course understand and respect that!

I am very thankful for the app and all of its functions! It’s really good!

That’s just how homey works. No camera image means no image at all.
I don’t really want to support such a feature as that will raise a lot of questions

It would be good to be able to turn off the image function, but not to remove the function entirely. To be able to get snapshots in Homey is pretty important for a security camera.

And placing a “dummy” image instead is probably not possible either?

Edit: I mean like a masking image that kind of hides snapshots from Eufy cams.

@A.Y everything would be possible but I don’t really see the benefit in such a feature.
Next to that it requires quite some effort in giving support to people later on

Edit: I like to have this app to be close as possible to the original eufy app. So when you open the eufy app on your phone you’re also greeted with the latest event image
