My doorbell device in Homey haven’t detected any motion or person in the last month (Eufy app notices > 10 events per day). Any clue?

@norenz are your push notifications enabled?

Hi @martijnpoppen do you think you can do something in the future with the facial recognition that is now available with the S380 Homebase?
It would be nice if we could use that, for example, when registering and deregistering family members, etc.

When you have the person detected card you get the person as a tag.

Theres a difference between Homebase 2 and 3 and if you have devices connected to it.

Hi @martijnpoppen

First off, thanks so much for the app. New user here and enjoying the possibilities that this will bring.

However, I’m having some trouble with eufyCam 3 camera’s: the triggers for motion detecting don’t seem to be working for me… Flows that use them are not working.
I am getting the push notifications from the official Eufy app on my phone, so motion is detected by the camera and notification is sent, but in homey it’s not being registered.
Motion triggers from the indoor Pan & Tilt camera’s however work perfectly fine. And also the ones from door sensors & normal motions sensors.

Other strange things I’m seeing with the eufycam 3’s:

  • battery level & temperature are not being read from the eufyCam 3

  • when using the “light” button for these cam’s then the light goes on for a second and switches off immediately.

I can however switch the camera’s on & off via homey without any problem, and I’m never seeing any errors anywhere.

I was using the test version of 3.9.15.
Also deleted the app completely, installed again (official 3.9.15 now) and added the devices again. But same result.

any ideas? or am I doing something wrong?

  • restarting the app might solve the issues with notifications. Known issue when a device is added. Sometimes it doesn’t start the notification service

  • battery and temp is indeed not working properly. Especially for the camera 3 series is even worse. Check FAQ Q5 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen

  • also the light button is a issue of the 3 series.

As the 3 series is quite new these bugs are not resolved yet. Im already in contact with the developer who maintains the Eufy library and helping him out :slight_smile:

no problem for the battery/temp/light. Nice to know it’s on the radar.

For the motion detection: I did try restarting earlier, but didn’t do it after the reinstall.
I did that now and tested again, but still no result it seems…

And the official eufy app itself is giving me the push notifications on my phone when motion is detected.

@svenvk that is strange. Can you send a report when your camera detected motion?
