[APP][Pro&Cloud] Shelly

Dont think you done something wrong, sounds more like a hickup during pairing. Try removing the two paired channels and pair the device again.

Adding a Shelly Button 1 gets stuck in the select Default ICON screen.
I can see it has been asked many times. I have read all the replies and tried everything…
Yes, Sorry, but it really drives me crazy

I already have several Shelly Switches, and they all work perfect.

Now, I got this Shelly Button 1.

I have set it up manually, Static IP. It’s connected and updated. USB is connected for power. It is also placed close to the AP.
It’s connected to Shelly Cloud. When pressing the button it’s being updated in the Shelly Cloud app.
I’ve also checked for updates in the cloud app.

When adding the button in Homey, it finds the button, I select it, and then it asks for icon and get stuck…
I even tried to create a SVG icon file just see if I could get pass this point in the installation.

Only thing is that it shows a different name in Homey app (shellybutton1-485519024…) and I have given it a name “Shelly Garage Button”, both in the Shelly WEB UI, Cloud and my Router.
But, I think I remember the Switches did the same.

Is the only suggestion really just to try again?

What is the firmware version of the button?

And send me a diagnostic report after trying again.

I dont see this happening, sorry. I asked Athom support for verified developers to give me some pointers on the possibilities within Homey and some generic guidelines on how to implement this. They just referenced the SDK documentation as an answer (as if I hadnt read that already) and told me they cant not help me with it. So I dont have much of a clue if it’s even possible and if so, how to implement it.

I’ll ask the people over at Allterco Robotics which are always much more helpful, perhaps they can help me out. I’ll also do some trial and error myself, perhaps I’ll learn a thing or two.

So while I was resetting everything again, I suddenly was able to get it connected!
I must say the Shelly devices really have their own lives sometimes, but when they finally are setup they seem to run flawlessly. Battery removal + reset button didn’t seem to have any impact.
Leasson learned: I had to manually select Reboot Device from web interface when changing settings - otherwise nothing happened.
Also I had to connect it to the cloud and make sure to press the button and actually see it updates in the cloud (+green ring on button). For long time I couldn’t get it to work and suddenly after a reboot everything was fine.

I did manage to figure out how to make a flow based on the button press, but it could have easier if I could select a When Card for the button press instead of Action event for all shelly devices then selecting the specific button.
Now I know, I was just a little surprised, that I initially only could see Card for action for battery on the specific button

I had the same problem.
Fixed it by setting a password on the button and adding it again in homey
Have had it on some other shelly devices before

Hi Sir

Sorry if its a stupid question, but for some time now the app in Homey says that “this device may not work/be supported in the future”.

Is there something new, new app / driver or way to include it into Homey that is going to be released soon?

Yes. New drivers. This was announced some time ago. You need to re-pair your devices. For Homey Cloud there will actually be a breaking change soon which will remove the deprecated driver.

Thank you, you are right it is now working fine :+1:t2::ok_hand:

All my i3 and i4 components respond very slow or not at all in Homey. These all worked fine, but not anymore.
These work well in the Shelly app. All have fixed ip.
What is going wrong?

Follow the troubleshooting guide from the first post.

Hi I am trying to add Shelly plus H&T in homey. First I added it to the Shelly app, that works fine. Now I am trying to add it in homey, the device is found but when I proceed there is no standard icon… uploading one doesn’t work as the next step you need to select the icon but the page is blank… any idea’s?

Hello @Phuturist,
can you please check app, seems to me there is one small bug with TRV. When I try to set valve profile with flow to “Disabled” it fails to set.
Other profiles works,
Setting profile via device works.

Only this one always fails:

Already checked network - it’s OK and as I said other profiles are responding only this one is not.

Hello @Zimo, the disabled option does not change the profile but disables the schedule (it switches to manual mode).

Hi, did you find a solution for this? My Plug S devices keeps set the kWh parameter to zero after a power off - very annoyng when we are using them in PBTH !

As you can read in the response you are replying to there is no viable solution I’m willing to implement in the app. Trying to solve this in the Homey app is asking for problems. I asked Allterco Robotics again about the possibility with the suggestion on implementing an option to set the total energy value. I can then implement logic that when it detects a lower value than previosuly reported the app can update the value with the previously saved value and continue from there.

Hello,
this is exactly I’d like to do via this workflow. How can I disable schedule and switch to manual?

I see there is a bug in the code. I’ll fix it with the next release. You should then be able to disabled the schedule using this card.

Hello,
I have a problem with power by the our and shelly devices combinations. It seems that the kWh counter on shelly devices only counts up to 150kWh and then starts again? This results in getting negative value at power by the our devices. Can this be correct?

Thanks!
