[APP][Pro] Bticino/Legrand/Netatmo - Home control, based on Netatmo Cloud API

Thanks for the reply @Sharkys.
See my previous post, you answered exactly what I asked… Thx.

Was only mentioning that I considered the Eufy doorbell as well. He question was asked in the Eufy thread and got a few responses.
This is also the one I picked up today and it performs quite well and fast too so far.

Tomorrow I’ll be picking up the Netatmo, so I can compare…
Any tips or advice is always welcome.

Thank you for your effort to provide an app which ist better working, than the offical app.

I’m owning 8 Bubendorff - shutters. 4 of them are common shutters, 4 with adjustable blinds.
They are connected via the iDiamant base station which is part of netatmo home+control.

In your app, the 4 common shutter are recognized as “Roller Shutter Switch” and they are working perfect.

The shutters with the adjustable blinds can not be integrated. Is there a possibilty that you implement these shutters too?

Thanks, Dieter

The reported Netatmo valve bug in another thread seems to apply also for this app. Something up with the Netatmo API? [APP] Netatmo - Same home, just smarter. (by Athom) - #294 by Trond_Nordfjaern

Hello, for the Netatmo Smart Outdoor Camera it is possible within the Homey device card to set the floodlight to On/Off/Auto via a picker, would it be possible to put this into a card to be able to done within flows also?

Many thanks on a app with more functionality than the official one!

Hi @Gal_Carmeli ,

thank you for application you’ve created. For me this app was the main reason to buy a Homey Pro.

I would like to ask for help. I’m using Legrand with Netatmo switches and micromodules, so I created a simple flow: when light in the bathroom is turned on, turn on also fan. My issue is a huge delay between turning on the light and starting the fan. Normally is about 1 minute, sometimes I’m lucky and it takes only 30 seconds.

What is strange is that this is happening only when light is turned on physically, using the switch. When light is turned on through Homey app, fan starts immediatelly.

Any idea how to solve this? Internet connection should not be the problem in this case.

Thank you

Hello, this is because the command from the physical switch action goes first through the Netatmo cloud (API) and then to Homey, which will then start the flow. There is not much you can do about this, and thus lie with the speed of Netatmo’s API.

The tip is to always connect as many local devices as possible to Homey, then you will not have this problem

Hello Steven,

thank you for your answer. I expected something like this and therefore I tried to connect 1 wired switch directly to Homey through zigbee. Unfortunately, every time when Homey started pairing with the switch, it ended with error. I did not tried with wireless switches/buttons yet.

Was anybody able to connect wired products directly to Homey?

Thanks

All - I have been away in the last 2 months due to something personal needed handling. I apologize for my unavailability during these last two months.

Anyway - I am back now.

I will try to address all the questions that were posted during my absence. If there’s anything I did not refer to, please let me know.

Hi @Filip_Jacquemyn -
REgarding your weather stations modules that are not updated, do you still have this issue? If so, please send me diagnostics report (app settings → sent diagnostics report button). Please add a comment so I will know it came from you.

@_Gesperrt - I would very much like to add the support for the additional 4 unsupported devices. As a first step, please share diagnostics report (App settings → send diagnostics report). By that, I will see the type of the devices and will see whether there is enough documentation on them.
If so, I will ask you to add me as a guest to your home so I can implement the integration.
Looking forward to your diagnostics reports (please add a comment once you send them so I will know to correlate them to your case).

@Trond_Nordfjaern - Error 406 (as reported in the thread you pointed) is an error on Netatmo’s side, which will affect every app that is using the connection to Netatmo devices.
I see them quite often recently, but not a lot.
Do you still see those 406 issues? If yes, can you please send me diagnostics report? (app settings → send diagnostics report). Please add a comment so I will know to correlate the reports to your case.

@Nigel_Scott - this functionality of flow-cards to control floodlights is indeed missing (sorry… ).
I added this implementaiton, but I will need to test it.
Would you be willing to add me as a guest to your home, and allow me to turn on/off the floodlight of one of your cameras?
Please notice that if you do that, I will be able to see the content of your camera, so maybe you would like to cover it with something for a short while till I am done with my testing.

If you accept, you should open the Netatmo Control + app on your smartphone, click the settings (“Gear”) icon at the bottom, choose “Guests” and then “Invite a user”. Use my email.
Please let me know the name of the camera I can “play” with. I will send you an email once I start my testing and once I finish, so you won’t be surprised.

@kawalo -
As @Steven_Bareman was saying - my app “poles” Netatmo exactly every minute to find out if there has been a change in one of the devices. It then detects that the light was turned off or on, and triggers the flow card.
There is no way to get a notification on the exact second that the light was turned on.
I am sorry for that, but this is a limitation on Netatmo’s side and there’s nothing I can do about it :frowning:
@Steven_Bareman - thanks for replying! :slight_smile:

Thank you. Yes they still apply both in your app and Athom’s “official” app. Only seen them in relation to the valves and specifically when adjusting temperatures (manually in e.g, web or mobile app or by flows). Just sent you a diagnostic report.

@Trond_Nordfjaern - I got your report, but I do not see any errors in it, all seems OK.
Can you please try to adjust the temperature, reproduce the error, and then after 1 minute create another diagnostic report?

Sent the report, (1c089df0-0c46-4cd5-98d8-3fe050a4e7a2)
Thank you for your help!

@_Gesperrt - I got your report. I can not find any documentation on those devices on Netatmo’s official website, which makes it more challangin…
Let’s try:
Can you please share your home with me?
Open the Netatmo Control + app on your smartphone, click the settings (“Gear”) icon at the bottom, choose “Guests” and then “Invite a user”. Use my email.

Notice that once you share your home with me, I will be able to see all your devices. I am committed not to change any of your devices without contacting you first.

Cheers, just did!

@Trond_Nordfjaern - I got your logs and i can see the error.
Let’s try and run a repair flow on your deivce.
If you are using the web-interface of Homey, right-click on the device and click “repair”
If you are using the smartphone app, long click on the device, click the settings gear icon on the top right, chose “maintennece” and click “try to repair”.
You will need to login again to Netatmo, which will give you a new token. Then try again to set the value of your device. Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your attention to this. I am afraid the problem sticks a bit deeper. Tried multiple repairs (and most other resonable and unreasonable things ptp of Homey, the Netatmo Gateway etc.) related to this issue already. I tried repair again now and submitted a new diagnostic report thereafter. Still error 406.
