[APP][Pro] Balboa

But did you try to login to ControlMySpa portal at https://controlmyspa.com/portal/auth/login.

I am only seeing in the diagnostic log this: ‘User does not exist in IDM or credentials are invalid.

Hi!

No, I did not. But I tried it, and I got in.
Also tried to add a new Balboa device in Homey using the same credentials as ControlMySpa.com used.
Now it worked. When I tested the same thing the other day, it did not work.
I tested to change the requested temp in the new homey device, saw that it also changed in the balboa iOS app.
So, it seems to work now!

Why? I don’t have a clue…
Thank you.

As the app now is properly connected to my spa, I started to convert my Balboa flows.

Flow for old app had: ‘When: Online state has changed’, ‘And: is online’

Flow for new app is missing the ‘When: Online state has changed’, but the ‘And: is online is still present’

Shall I replace it with ‘When: is connected / is disconnected’?

Yes, those are the ones. Also for BWA those old custom cards are no more available as the Homey provided standard capability for connection is now used.

Hello,

Does this mean we could local connect trough the bwa app in homey? Do we need to delete the connected old spa and try to find it again whit homey?

Thanks for help and keep updating the app.

I scrolled back in hopes to find an answer why I cannot see then actions for pumps and blower The “then” card only displays option for heating and light.

Did I do something wrong?

Version 2.4.1.

Updated to 2.5.0.

Have local temperature control, but no pumps.

Thank you for this. Since Balboa changed their service, requiring a payment for cloud based access, with a new password, the Homey app has not worked. The local adaptor has fixed this. I had to type in the local IP address of the Balboa unit, and all is now well. Interestingly, I can access the wifi adaptor both via the local Homey connection AND the cloud based connection. Going forward, if i can access locally via Homey, I don’t need the anual fee for the cloud based service. Great stuff!
