Thank you good sir. It is truly frustrating, it was working brilliant until the other day, and was more reliable for my Home/Away status in flows than the Homey geolocation. I’ll be really peeved at Apple if they have patched/blocked something.
Hi, it all started working again yesterday. I can add devices from 2 accounts now.

Hi Martijn @martijnpoppen
I have tried the new test version 1.7.0, but unfortunately was still unable to re-add the Find My device to my Homey. The error message has changed, I now get this on the first attempt:
And then all subsequent attempts it just freezes on this page until I eventually kill it off with the “X”:
After first trying my iCloud account primary email address and the app specific password I generated for Homey and getting the above two responses, I then tried again with my primary email address and a known good app specific password I use for my iCloud calendar in Thunderbird on my desktop. Unfortunately that too just froze on the “Loading…” page and did nothing.
I also tried disabling my Pi-Hole servers, just in case Apple had change something with DNS (I know they do some funky
with DNS on iPhones to supposedly mask your presence on the internet). This made zero difference. So then I created this Diagnostic Report:

I hope this helps get to the bottom of this weirdness, as it was an extremely useful app until a few days ago. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, thank you.
@Drako74 well at least it’s passing trough the errors instead of throwing unauthenticated
I’ll check what this means and see what I can do. My friend Claude already has been great help so far.
I’ll consult him tomorrow ![]()
The response I got from AI was along the lines of the authentication client could have been updated as Apple often change their authentication methods, or the specific API endpoints trying to be accessed could have been changed. Either that or the specific client has been blocked, but there’s no sign of blocking for my home network, as all my other devices can login to my iCloud account just fine. Unless the 1 minute update interval started hitting a new limit Apple has imposed. But although some parts of the Find My app suggest that the update interval at least at one time was configurable, I couldn’t find an option to set it to a less frequent interval than 60s.
Unable to login auth error.

@Jos_Visser hello to you too
Please read the posts above
Hi Martijn,
Out of curiosity/desperation (or perhaps a little of both) I tried adding a different email address, in addition to the email that’s my username and email iCloud email address you automatically receive. Then I tried resetting my account password, and created two new app specific passwords for my calendar share and Homey… and I have managed to get the device card re-added and it seems to be working again.
I also found the Flow card to adjust the Server Request Interval… so I immediately changed it to 2 minutes… and when I leave the house it changes it to 10 minutes. I’m hoping the reduced server requests will help… as I suspect that Apple may have reduced the volume of requests a source IP can make before triggering a lock-out, and that’s why at 2am on the 20th it stopped working (with my iPhone, Calendar, and Homey all requesting from my WAN IP)
I’ll let you know if it remains stable with the reduced requests.
So far, reducing the Server Request interval from 60 to 120 seconds seems to have made the device and it’s triggered Flows stable again (I’ve been getting my Alexa announcements every time my iPhone battery gets low).
I have no idea why adding an additional email address to login with (as opposed to using my actual iCloud username email address) has rectified my authentication problems. As my username email address works just fine for logging in to my shared calendar, iPhone, and iCloud web site from a desktop browser. But as long as it works, don’t fix it right! Just chalk it up to an iCloud oddity, and carry on.
Thank you mahoosively as always dude, your insights, expertise, and work on these great apps is always appreciated greatly.
Thanks for letting me know!
I’ll keep the test version around, and i’ll probably set the initial update value to 120
Hi Martijn . I keep getting multiple “ your account was used “ emails. We had that before but forgot on how to fix. Dis not have them dor many many months and started again
@Dennis_H74
That is not something which van be fixed
You could use a separate email addresss so your main mailbox is not getting flooded with emails
But that’s the quirk of this app
Weird … like i said did not get this for months ( only on reboots but that is ok )
Think it started again when my internet changed ( new gateway / access points installed last week )

Again somehow the app stopped working for me, same issue as before. (Values were way off)
I know get an error that my account is locked (Apple) but its not and also not showing this error. It also keeps stuck at the loading page. Tried to reinstall all, delete email address, add the same one but no luck yet. Will check if a password change helps
Ok, that worked ![]()
But the values are still incorrect
@Inunekko please restart the app and send a diagnostic report
