Hi,
If i connect my Hue Bridge to homey, will my Hue dimmers and Zigbee switches then also come into the Homey app, or will i need to get a Homey pro hub?
Hi, im new to Homey, and i am trying to connect my hue account to Homey, however when i press ‘+ → new device → Phillips Hue → smart lights → connect’ and i log in, and choose the bridge to connect and press allow then it just comes up with an error and i can see no devices are added. Yet when i check under homey ‘apps’ folder it says that
hue is connected.
Hi all,
I am rather new here, but have been searching for a useful answer without any luck. I have a Homey Bridge and a Philips Hue Bridge. Just until recently it all worked fine, but now I cannot get the Hue bridge to authorize my Homey Bridget. I get a
“Client authentication failed (e.g., unknown client, no client authentication included, or unsupported authentication method).”
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
/Dan
Hi, is it possible to Import rooms from the hue Bridge? I can also Import specific light Bulbs. In Home Assistant for Exemple you can also Import the rooms as a lightgroup. By the way: I know and use the App „Groups“ - nevertheless i’m wondering
Thanks and Brgds
I’m considering buying a Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip for TV. It’s unclear to me to what extent this product is recognized and controllable by Homey.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Thx!
The Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip and the Sync Box are both compatible with Homey, as shown on the Hue App Store page. However, keep in mind that for the Gradient Lightstrip, you can currently only adjust the entire strip as a whole, not individual sections.
Thx for the reply.
I’m only getting the lightstrip, not the sync box. And since the former isn’t mentioned explicitly on the app page I wasn’t sure. But I presume it falls under the Light category then.
Yes it does! ![]()
I removed hue lamps from Homey to correct some issues but now they cannot be found. They are showing in the Philips Hue app and the sync is setup but the lamps are not found. How do I get them to show up again in the Homey app? #Newbie
I have reported via support, twice now, that the Lights devices category in the android app is broken to the point where tapping that feature crashes the app
Hi, can anybody help ne up? Regards
As far as I know it is not possible to import rooms from Hue
Ok Thanks. I‘m asking because it is possible in Home Assistant anyway. So there should be a possibility in General, isnt it?
It would be a nice feature. If you edit a room in Home Assistant is that change then reflected in the Hue system?
What do you mean by „edit“? Switch on/off? This is shown in the hue App, Yes.
No, if you moved lights to different rooms or renamed them.
Hey folks.
Since a couple of weeks my philips hue app keeps crashing because of CPU rate (see screenshot). When this happens my flow’s won’t work and my lights are not available making it very unstable. After a couple of minutes it magically works again, only for it to crash again some minutes later.
This seems to be an edless loop. Not sure how to fix this.
(There are some topic about this issue but the ones i could find were very old)
Hope somebody can help!
I have the same issues as you except the crashed status of the app.
I thought it was an memory issues on my Homey Pro (early 2019).
So I will follow this thread to see if there are more issues and for a solution.
My homey pro has had issues everyday for last week. And think it’s because hue app keeps crashing daily. Submitted an official ticket to athom so we will see what they say.
