Without our tireless effort researching the root cause and nagging the firmware development team to create the required update, I do not think we would have been able to actually test a working beta firmware last week. As Homey app developer we have no real influence on the device firmware development speed, I also wish it would be different.
But I guess this is what you get for trying to help
The goal is to release the updated firmware in January, but as the last goal was missed by a couple of months we did not share this information yet to not raise false hope.
Unfortunately we were on holiday when the update was released, but we have now been able to test it and can confirm that version 2.7.6 indeed resolves the issue with Homey. You will need to re-add it to Homey to ensure the correct configuration is loaded.
Wow, these Eglo lights are an absolute nightmare to set up with anything else than their own app (of which they have two, by the way, conflicting ones)! I tried (factory) resetting one of their LED panels so many times now, using some sadistically designed complex on/off sequence that doesnât work.
Judging by this experience I thought I was dealing with some cheap Chinese crap, but it appears to be an Austrian brand? I should have stuck with Philips Hue lights. Those simply work.
Eglo app seemed to have uninstalled itself from my Homey out of nowhere causing my bathroom lamps to not work anymore. I canât seem to re-install the app either.
It was updated in the homey Appstore a couple of hours ago,
I have seen it update on one of my Homeyâs
So no issues here,
Also Tested a Re-install and that works. Have you tried closing / restarting your mobile app or Web-Browser to refresh the session and Restarting Homey ?
This is caused by an issue with the Homey CDN. If you restart your Homey and try to re-install from the store using the link @Dijker provided it should work. If that still doesnât work please contact Athom to check whether they have another solution available, we as app developer cannot help you with this unfortunatelyâŠ
For those people, who canât pair up Eglo Connect-z Remote 2.0 to Homeyâs Eglo App, I wrote a quick manual in a corresponding topic. This will save you some time troubleshooting. Unforuntately it doesnât work out of the box, because of an old firmware on the Remote 2.0 itself.
