Hi!
Just installed a Roller Shade Driver E1 which is working great. I’ve hooked it up to an IKEA open/close remote, and would like to make a flow which simply stops the roller shade if a button is pressed while the roller is going up/down. Any suggestion for how to do so? Simply enacting “Set the position to #position” doesn’t work as the position-parameter seem not to be updated in real time.
Well, I didn’t understand what you wrote. That’s why I asked you and replied (!) to your post what you meant by that:
So I didn’t mention @Tirrazo by name at all or reply to any of his posts. When he responded to my post, I informed him that I hadn’t addressed him at all. So what am I supposed to explain to him?
There are some basic ways to do things in a forum to avoid such misunderstandings:
Summary
-
reply to a post
-
Quoting a post or only part of a post
-
mention a user by name
In all three cases, it is absolutely clear what is being referred to or which user is meant.
You, @John_William_Brekke, haven’t used any of these, by the way. Therefore I would like to take this opportunity to refer to the Discourse documentation on which the Homey Community Forum is based: Using Discourse - Discourse Meta
Well @Tirrazo said “U think there is some issues with Homey’s Zigbee network?” so i just replied to him that zigbee works very good, atleast for me.
Dear Developer,
I am using Homey Pro (Early 2023) and added the Aqara Cube T1 Pro (new version) through the official Aqara app on Homey.
The device is detected and added successfully, but unfortunately, none of the gestures are working — the cube does not respond to any action (shake, rotate, flip, etc.).
I kindly ask you to review this issue and confirm if there is a fix or upcoming update to support this device fully.
Looking forward to your support.
Best regards,
Mohammad Alnajdi

Maybe this should be clearly stated in the app description so people can stop wasting their money on the Aqara products that won’t work with their older Homey Pro?
Okay, than I misunderstand your post completely. I thought you were talking about the Aqara M3 Hub.
My mistake! Sorry for that!
Oh, it’s alright
Hi @TedTolboom,
I’ve posted earlier regarding the Aqara Cube T1 Pro (new version) not responding to any gestures in Homey Pro (Early 2023). The cube is recognized and added through the Aqara app, but none of the actions (shake, rotate, slide, etc.) are detected.
I kindly ask if this device is officially supported or if there is an upcoming update that will fix this issue.
I’m using the cube primarily for advanced automation scenarios and really hope to benefit from its full capabilities.
Your guidance or any ETA on support would be highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Mohammad Alnajdi

Ok so why is FP2 sensor not on the list of supported devices???! When are you going to add it??? The sensor has been on the market several years now!!!
Because it’s not a Zigbee device and this app is for Zigbee devices only. This sensor has been supported for a while now, search the forum.
I have strange aqara zigbee issues.
Reguarly several aqyara devices do not respond anymore, I have to repair the to get them to work again.
This only happens with aqara devices, other zigbee devices do not seem to have this issue.
I have a several zigbee devices also a lot of zigbee router in my network, coverage shout nog be any problem (not sure how to test this BTW, Homey does not seem to have a zigbee mapping function).
But what could cause this, that aqara devices need to be repaired reguarly and how to fix this?
The devices seem to be random, sometimes it is a motion sensor, then a door contact and yesterday is was a button which did not work anymore.
Any advises?
Then an other question.
I go myself 2 blind motors (E1) from aqara, i paired 1 to test, I can control it using Homey, but is there no option to set min/max?! I looked in the setings but could not find any option to do this, this is needed to safely open/close the blind.
It seems this app isn’t being supported right now. No updates for many months despite many requests.
How do you contact the devs via Slack? It’s asking for a login.
Have you had any success to get things working Paal?
I bought a M2 Hub which really goes against reason buying the very expensive homey.
I can control the switch via ZigBee <> the M2 and then Matter to the Homey but it’s not perfect.
I have hue lamps and I wanted to be able to keep the relays of Sw1 & Sw2 closed then operate them as wireless switches so that I could keep the Hue working.
I have also the dimmers and they must be controlled by Zigbee by the M2 to ensure now flickering and setting max/min. After the latest updates on Homey such Matter connections and the M2 especially has become more stable. I am considering moving more Aqara sensors from the Homey over to the M2 hub for stability as some of them tends to drop out over time. Repairing only keeps them up a few days before they fall out again. It is just a few of the sensors and most of the are stable for unknown reasons. Can be that they need firmware updating which they do not get when connected to Homey.
What we really need is the integration with the Homey Aqara app. I assume then you can also do firmware upgrades.
When stable, the integration with Homey over Matter from the M2 hub is excellent. A new entity added to the Aqara app immediately pops up as a matter unit in Homey. Challenge is though it does not transfer the name of the entity only the standard product name. Since my family uses the Apple Home app all is then again transferred with HomeKitty and renamed and sorted again. Sync of names and rooms over Matter or HomeKit would have been fantastic!
Aqara Zigbee units are so cost-effective, runs 2 year on a battery and are rock solid stable and small and is a natural part of all Smart Home Systems. It adds though an additional complexity layer as the Aqara app is not solid enough to keep it stable, but that is also a result of the Homey business model and that apps are donationware. Maybe it is time to up the game and introduce paid apps for more stability and quick fixes.
You can also now define scenes and signals in Aqara that will appear in Homey. Signals mimics movement sensors etc but can be base on many entities in an if then statement in Aqara.
I am trying to find a solution where any of my outdoor cameras sees movement and then increase intensity of my outdoor lights and turn on some more lights, and then dim down n minutes after the movement ends. Since cameras are not supported in Homey the signals can solve that. I am also trying it from the Apple Home side by using a virtual movement switch which is discovered in Homey. Homey has the best automation solution so that is where to solve complex things. Have not found the right setup here yet on the movement sensor algorithm… The outdoor light goes on and off at all times or does not work at all…
Please stop your juice channel talk.
The number of months since the last update has nothing to do with “not being supported”. 4 months is not a long time in Homey app land.
When you want to use the latest and newest stuff now, I can recommend to run Home Assistant next to Homey.
In general, Homey never has been a platform with lighning fast support for the newest stuff.
I do agree on the fact the dev could give a sign of life at some point in time, but there’s no obligation whatsoever.
Hi all, the app is still actively being worked on! Don’t you guys worry. Next in line to be added are some of the US devices like the US version of the Smart Plug and the Smart Wall Switches.
Thanks Doeske.
Any chance to have support for the H2 EU devices? I want to fit them throughout my house but I’m not ready to invest in an unsupported device.
Having problems with Aqara roller shade drivers. Have two of them and they get paired ok, but then eventually Homey shows them as unavailable. Strange thing is that developer tools last seen- values are fresh, few minutes and ping claims that it can connect to them. After repairing devices are again ok in the app, for some hours. There are two zigbee sockets within meter and a Aqara window sensor within 30 cm, all working without problems, so would assume Zigbee network is fine.
