Zooz Zen71 Smart Bulb Mode Not Working

I have a Zooz Zen71 Smart Switch I am using to control 2 matter lights with. I made sure to enable smart bulb mode and scene control for the switch, however the switch still cutes power to the bulbs when I push the ‘off’ switch. I have tried removing and re-pairing the switch but the issue persists.

Is there a workaround or some other way I can resolve this?

You’ll need access to advanced settings to disable the relay on your switch and put it in the smart bulb mode.

Don’t know the Zooz Zen71 On/Off Switch, but this is written on the Zooz website.

So I think there must be a setting to deactivate the relay.
Have you deactivated the relay? Is there a function for this in the advanced device settings?

I had the exact opposite problem with this switch. It’s a simple fix. The problem is of inverse logic. Just flip the “Enable smart bulb mode” opposite to what it says. As if the label says “Disable smart bulb mode”. As a developer it’s sometimes easy to confuse the flipping logic.

If you don’t know what this mode is about: It’s for when you have smart bulbs connected to the switch. But if you cut the power to smart bulbs it messes up automations. So in this mode the switch never really cuts power, instead you turn the smart bulbs on/off by acting to paddle events on the switch and use the hub turn the smart bulbs on/off, all while keeping the smart bulbs powered.
