Hi all,
I need a level set on if I am going about this all wrong. In one room, the outlet that is controlled by the switch on the wall is in a weird spot where we don’t want a lamp. However, I still want the wall switch to control the lamp that is on a different outlet. I thought I could just buy two smart switches and use one as a relay on the switched outlet, and one that the lamp is plugged into as a listener. Then setup a flow for WHEN relay switch power is on, turn on light and vice versa for turning off. Not as straightforward as I thought because turning the switched outlet off cuts power all together to the smart switch relay and can’t even communicate with the hub, and the hub still thinks it is on, ALWAYS on. Sooo nothings happens ever. Is this a defect with my Zooz Smart Switches, or am I just totally going about this all wrong? Let me have it Homey community.
