Hi , I am using Homey Bridge , I’m experiencing problems after a few days of use. Even though the Shelly Z-Wave Plug is installed, it keeps disconnecting from the system. I’m getting a “Coprecessor not connected” error. I’ve tried turning Homey off and on a few times, but the problem persists. In this situation, I cannot add a Z-Wave device to the system..What could be the issue?
If you use Homey Bridge as extension to a Homey Cloud instance, the error “Coprecessor not connected" means the bridge is not connected to Homey Cloud anymore
(It’s called “Coprocessor” internally).
This means it’s not z-wave related at all.
This error can be caused by 2 things
- You’ll have to change your wifi, to match the bridge’s “preferences”:
- a separate 2.4GHz channel
- when you have Access Points installed, make sure to force the bridge to use one AP (It should not hop between AP’s)
- reserve the IP address for the bridge om your dhcp server (usually part of your modem/router)
- When settings of point 1 don’t seem to have any effect, there’s most probably something wrong with the hardware device Homey Bridge

When this happens, I can access Homey via the application. The device is directly connected to the modem’s Wi-Fi network. I’m sure Homey is connected to the internet because I use the presence feature, and when I arrive home, the scenarios I’ve set are activated, and I receive a notification message. It’s just that all the Z-Wave products are disconnected. Turning the device off and on again fixes the problem.
