Hi everyone,
Since Homey doesn’t support true Z-Wave multicast, I wanted to work around this by using a Fibaro Double Smart Module.
The idea: let the module act as if its S1 input was triggered by a click, which should then activate Association Group 2 and control multiple other nodes at once.
Here’s my current setup.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to work as expected — the associated nodes don’t respond when I try to simulate the S1 action via Homey.
The goal: I’d like to control multiple Z-Wave devices (e.g. several lights) at exactly the same time, without the slight delays you get when Homey sends unicast commands one by one. Essentially, I’m looking for a way to replicate multicast behavior.
Has anyone tried this before or knows:
-
Why this approach isn’t working?
-
Whether there’s another way to trigger Group 2 associations directly from Homey?
-
Or alternative suggestions for achieving multicast-like behavior on Homey?
Thanks in advance!
