Will ethernet adapter solve my problems

Not sure what you mean, or how you came to this conclusion?
It’s true Athom management isn’t liking/recommending Tuya stuff, but we have to admit Tuya is just everywhere.

Still I don’t recommend it in combination with Homey, when you’re still setting up your smart home.

homey.app store:

With serious downsides[1], Homey Pro series supports:

  1. almost any Tuya wifi device out there, by cloud connection
  2. almost any Tuya zigbee + bluetooth device by cloud connection, when you throw in a €15 Tuya zigbee+Ble hub;
You’ll need this app for both 1 and 2:
    Tuya Cloud
  3. lots of Tuya zigbee devices directly with Homey zigbee
    You’ll need this app:
    Tuya Zigbee

¹) ○ The Tuya Cloud app is unmaintained, but it works fine → until Tuya changes their API, or Athom adds breaking changes to Homey firmware.
It needs a pretty extended configuration, and a (free) subscription renewal twice a year.
Cloud dependency is a choice. But, Homey is cloud dependent too.
○ The Tuya Zigbee app’s new device adding activity seems to be stalled, but there’s a new initiative here for zigbee (still in development and it seems to rely on AI); unknown how this works out.

Offline crap issues

Yes I’d buy the ethernet dongle right away.

Not sure what info you read, but to minimize the “Homey is offline” bug from bugging you, it comes down to:

  • Add a local account, but that’s only useable with my.homey.app
  • prevent Homey from Access Point hopping
  • reserve IP addresses at your DHCP server for phone(s) & Homey (and all wifi devices paired with Homey)
  • be careful when you want to use vLAN’s, PiHole, AdGuard and other network related stuff.
  • Keep at least 1.5m between Homey and a wifi router/AP
  • split 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi and use different SSID’s
