Unable to Update Homey Pro

For a little while now my Homey Pro has been offline in the apps. It’s getting a WiFi IP address just fine, I get one ping that it’s online, then it goes offline.

Today I was fed up with it and dug up my LAN module and hooked it using a cable directly to the ISP’s modem. That worked, it became accessible. So I figured I should probably update it and then figure out how to make the WiFi work again.

However, updating does not work. Using the apps it basically does nothing, just tells me it will update from 13.3.0 to 13.4.1, shows no progress and does nothing. Eventually it’ll show the prompt to update again.

So I tried the USB Tool. It started just fine, performing the update up to 100%. Then it filled up the entire Verifying bar and now it’s stuck there. Nothing changes in the browser, the Homey continues to rotate the orange light. It’s been like this for hours now.

So, what do I do? Assuming I should update before trying to fix other things. Can I just turn it off and try again, maybe with a different USB cable this time (I hear that can make a difference)?

You can inplug and start homey to verify. Or if that doesn’t work, use the USB to pc connection again to reinstall the laureate firmware.

Ah, right. I do my searches in English so did not find that one. And indeed, when I accidentally bumped into my USB cable it disconnected and upon restarting it was fully updated. Now to figure out if updating also fixed the online/offline issues, it was becoming a rather expensive bookend.
