No matter. Lose to many functions then
No, migrated the pro via hue app and followed the instructions and erased the old bridge. Only problem now is that I now have double of every light from bridge pro
These are my experiences in case it could help for anyone, probably not the flow most people want to follow though:
- Homey Pro: Removed Hue app from homey (and so also all hue devices)
- Hue App: Used the Hue app to migrate 1 bridge to the new pro
- Hue App: Reset and removed all devices from my second bridge
- Hue App: Added the devices from second bridge to new pro bridge (the wall switches were a bit of a pain as they are in the wall)
- Homey Pro: Waited for test version of Hue app and installed it
- Homey Pro: Imported all Hue Devices from Pro bridge
- Homey Pro: Updated my flows, I only have 3 with Hue devices and none are critical for the lights to function (needed to be done as there were 2 bridges involved before and it is much simpler/cleaner now with 1 bridge)
Everything went smooth, no issues at all. Will provide feedback in case I do encounter issues, but if there is no follow up it means all is good ![]()
Very helpful advice for dual-OG-bridge folks. Based on this, it seems that single-bridge folks should have no issues if they follow 1, 2, 5, 6, 7.
Wow. For me with over 200 flows that is an absolute no go ![]()

Have many flows that halts when they come to lights controlled by the bridge pro. Doesn’t feel that great
So you first delete the whole hue app ?
Did two separate houses with a migration in the Hue app. After that I rebooted both Homey(2019/Pro) and everything worked flawless
That is what I did, but it is not meant as a best practice for other people to follow.
I did it because I moved from 2 bridges to 1 and wanted to prevent a mess to deal with. (format c: just always worked for me
) Given that I only have 3 non-critical Hue flows, it was not a big deal for me
In case anyone needs to fix flows, I can recommend this brilliant script:
The app works for my Hue Bridge pro!, all the migrated devices are working directly after updating the Homey Hue app. my second “old” Hue Bridge devices did not work anymore in Homey. For me this was not a big issue since i moved most of the devices to the Hue Pro already. Thanks for updating the app!
This beta app works
What I did:
- Update to the test version, after that temporarily disable the hue app in homey
- In the Hue app itself migrate current bridge to bridge pro (all devices)
- Wait till that’s done, then start the Hue app in Homey again and it started migrating
- All working, it could be that you have to restart the Hue plugin in Homey once all is migrated to make sure it works 100%
I had to reinstall all my devices in the hue, that’s what i meant that it found all my devices. Before the restart it didnt found the new bridge pro.
I did things in the following order:
- Installed the test version of the Hue app on Homey
- Migrated from old Hue bridge to bridge pro
- Restarted the new bridge
- Manually added “non-Hue devices” to the new bridge
On Homey everything then was as before, no need for any adjustments. Perfect!
I did the things in following order:
- Migrated from old to new bridge on Hue.
- Deleted the old Bridge on Hue as it says.
- Install the new Hue app on my homey
- After Hue App was installed on my homey it says migrate all to new Hue app OK
Everything work perfect. Not find any problem at all. I have around 60 Hue lamps
Thanks for great work guys!!!
I really love my Homey pro allways work and easy to program. Really a briliant device
Today I installed Hue Pro.
Hue apps - ok
HomeKit - ok
HA - ok
Homey Pro - bad, can’t add and all automation doesn’t work anymore because there is no Pro..
There is no Hue bridge Pro support yet for Homey in the regular Hue app, only in the test version.
Did you install the test version? If not, you will either need to wait for an update or install the test version.
I realized this, from comments. Therefore, I would say a shame that Homey Pro is the most expensive of all the centers of the house and the last one not yet supported Hue Pro.
The company behind Homey Pro is quite slow to update the Phillips Hue app so we can use the new Pro bridge. I’m honestly disappointed with them!
hi everyone, im new here and just getting in to the smart home thing. i have the homey pro mini and philips hue bridge pro.
i downloaded the new test app. added all hue devices in homey (it asked me to select my bridge pro). immediately after adding all my devices the hue devices show a red triangle in the corner containing an exclamation mark and i get the error message “searching for hue bridge”.
