I am considering purchasing a TadoX wireless thermostat with wireless receiver. Is this also supported?
Supported devices are shown here:
https://homey.app/en-us/app/com.tado2/tado°/
there is also a support link: Go to Homey Support
I had already found that, but it does not indicate whether it concerns the wired or wireless version or both.
As far as I know, they both communicate wireless with the ‘Tado Internet Bridge’, for sure the wired version does (I have one), so, why shouldn’t the wireless one do the same?
Probably you better search/ask in this topic:
As I was curious how tado designed the X system, I found Wireless X devices need a bridge X, OR,
an other Thread border router
But: the Wireless thermostat comes with a wireless receiver, with a built-in bridge:
FYI The dev of tadoZones app is busy working on support on tado X for Homey:
If you mean the Tado Bridge X, you’re right, except that for the wired version you need a separate ‘Bridge X’, and for the wireless version you don’t, in that case the ‘Wireless receiver X’ has a ‘Bridge X’ on board. An other option is to use Homey (2023) as a border router, or any other Thread border router.
For example: Homey 2023, which can be a Thread Border Router.
