Tado X is already present in Homey, but not visible

I am trying to pair the Tado X Thermostat with Homey. However, Homey indicates during the pairing process that the device is already added. This is not the case, as I cannot find the device.

The Tado X Thermostat is working fine in both the Tado app and the Apple Home app. The Tado X is connected to the Tado X Bridge.

Who knows what I need to do to get the Tado X paired with Homey?

I had it paired to homey (and Tado X bridge), then after a few days my homey had some connectivity issues (offline). When back online, it didn’t show the actual status. As I couldn’t resolve it, I tried to delete and reconnect. But now I have the same issue: it indicates the device is already added.
I’m at the point of a factory reset of the homey. But then in doubt if I should first create a backup (as restoring it might cause the issue to re-occur)…

I hope someone knows how to look into homey to check the paired devices and properly remove it.

See if you can find them in here:
https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/devices

When you do, use the bin icon at the right-hand side to delete them.

Unfortunately it is not visible there.

And to add, I checked if I can connect the device. I still can’t.
When using the either Homey app or web, using Tado app or Matter directly, doesn’t matter. Only difference is, that when trying to connect it via Homey app → connect Matter → use Android, it does seem to pair (according to Android) but as soon as it re-opens Homey it says ‘already connected’.

tadoZones works for me

Thanks, that works indeed.
Meenwhile: I have actually tried a factory reset of Homey, with no result.

Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing the same issue. TadoZones is working fine, but I’d like to understand how to resolve the “This device is already connected to Homey” error. Has anyone found a solution?

Marcello

From what I’ve learned about Matter, it looks like the tado device is telling Homey it’s already paired when you want to add it.
(It’s not a ‘leftover’ in Homey somewhere).
If possible, reset the tado device and try again.
