Tado smart thermostat: Unknown entity 422 error

Hi folks

I just created a flow for our Tado Smart Thermostats.

Doing the first test it threw the error “422 Unprocessable Entity” (see screenshot).

I have tested again a couple of times and now there is no error.

This leads to the questions:

  1. What caused this error?
  2. Can I expect this error to return at random intervals (if so, how do I prevent it)?

Hi Esben,

  1. What Homey model?
  2. What Homey firmware version?
  3. What tado app (there’s more than 1)?
  4. What tado app version?
  5. Do other tado devices have any errors, or is this the only one?
  6. Do the batteries have enough juice?
  7. Is the radiator knob within signal range of the tado bridge?

For now

Sorry about that.

  1. Q: What Homey model?
    A: Homey Pro 2023
  2. Q: What Homey firmware version?
    A: 10.0.1
  3. Q: What tado app (there’s more than 1)?
A: I only found one app called Tado° in Homey and that’s what I am using.
  4. Q: What tado app version?
    A: V.1.1.3
  5. Q: Do other tado devices have any errors, or is this the only one?
A: This is the first try to integrate Tado into Homey. I haven’t received any errors from my other thermostats - yet (and I haven’t been able to replicate the initial error)
  6. Q: Do the batteries have enough juice?
A: The battery condition is listed as “Good”
  7. Q: Is the radiator knob within signal range of the Tado bridge?
A: Yes, remote control works fine.

Thanks,

3). I asked, because there also is a tadoZones community app (I use and recommend it: very complete and extended, compared to the somewhat ‘empty’ official version)

.
When you’d like to try it out, it can be installed side-by-side with the official app:

5). Try to re-login: Go to device properties, and select ‘repair’
6). When 5. doesn’t make a difference: replace the batteries with real new ones anyways
7). Which remote control? Or do you mean changing the temperature on the device at Homey?
Does it report any status recently, like measured temperature?

Otherwise I’d suggest to contact Athom, the tado app creator:
(how to find out: support links are present below the review section @ app store app pages)

Thanks.

I will look into the tadoZones app.

Regarding reparing that is a great suggestion for when an error surfaces again - and then I will see about contacting Athom.

I guess for now I will assume everything works.
