Starting flow at 20:00 (time) or at sunset?

How to: Starting flow at 20:00 (time) or at sunset? Whatever will be first but at latest on 20:00?

Advanced scheduler app is exactly what you’ll need.

The AS as suggested by @Peter_Kawa ist definitely a good solution. With the AS you will need only one flow.

With the other way in „Homey Style“ you will need two flows.

Flow 1 (Sunset is the trigger)
When…
— At sunset
And…
— Time is earlier than 20:00 o’clock
Then…
— …

Flow 2 (Time is the trigger)
When…
— Time is 20:00 o’clock
And…
— It‘s after before sunset
Then…
— …

I agree that AS is a good choice. However if using your suggested flows, the AND clause in flow 2 needs to be changed to It’s before 20:00 o’clock.
Otherwise it won’t trigger at 20 o’clock if sunset is after 20 o’clock.

Almost…
Flow 2 AND should read “It’s before sunset”
The flows then trigger at sunset OR at 20:00hrs, if the sun is not set yet.

Example:
This flowset works fine, but the other way round.
(They trigger at sunrise/or/06:30AM though and written in Dutch).
IF time = 06:30AM
AND it is after sunrise

IF at sunrise
AND time is after 06:30AM

Thanks Peter! That’s what I actually meant :grinning:

Haha okay! This stuff is a bit mind-boggling sometimes

You are absolutely right, that was a careless mistake that I have already corrected in the post.
