How to: Starting flow at 20:00 (time) or at sunset? Whatever will be first but at latest on 20:00?
Advanced scheduler app is exactly what youâll need.
Forum topic here.
The AS as suggested by @Peter_Kawa ist definitely a good solution. With the AS you will need only one flow.
With the other way in âHomey Styleâ you will need two flows.
Flow 1 (Sunset is the trigger)
WhenâŚ
â At sunset
AndâŚ
â Time is earlier than 20:00 oâclock
ThenâŚ
â âŚ
Flow 2 (Time is the trigger)
WhenâŚ
â Time is 20:00 oâclock
AndâŚ
â Itâs after before sunset
ThenâŚ
â âŚ
I agree that AS is a good choice. However if using your suggested flows, the AND clause in flow 2 needs to be changed to Itâs before 20:00 oâclock.
Otherwise it wonât trigger at 20 oâclock if sunset is after 20 oâclock.

AlmostâŚ
Flow 2 AND should read âItâs before sunsetâ
The flows then trigger at sunset OR at 20:00hrs, if the sun is not set yet.
Example:
This flowset works fine, but the other way round.
(They trigger at sunrise/or/06:30AM though and written in Dutch).
IF time = 06:30AM
AND it is after sunrise
IF at sunrise
AND time is after 06:30AM
Thanks Peter! Thatâs what I actually meant
Haha okay! This stuff is a bit mind-boggling sometimes
You are absolutely right, that was a careless mistake that I have already corrected in the post.
Thanks
