Hi, I’m trying to start a simple flow based on pushing a button on a AWST 8802 wall switch from Trust. The integration of the switch into my homey pro (2019 model) works flawlessly. However I can not get any flow to start, when the button is pressed. I tried rebooting homey, took the battery out of the switch to give it a POR, I deleted the device and flow and re-did everything, but no success. The flow works flawless when pressing the play button in the app, but not when pressing the button on the switch. Did anyone experience similar issues? Any Tipps how to fix it? Maybe one more remark, I’m also using the single wall switch AWST8800 for other functions, and flows do work as expected, just not with the dual wall switch version.
Hi @Ulrich_Biewer ,
usually when my flows do not start, there is a mistake in the trigger (WHEN card). Maybe there is another issue with your flow, but to exclude a simple mistake, can you just provide your flow and the conditions, where you expect the flow to start but it does not?
Kind regards Dirk
Hi Dirk,
Here is the screenshot of the flow, really simple, but only working in the app, not by pushing the button
Thanks for taking a look…
Yes I did try that, also the option of the switch being mounted upside down (which isn’t the case) but no effect….
Hi Ulrich,
Thank you for sharing the flow. It looks quite straight forward.
Can you see the state of the button in the devices section? Is there a proof that Homey recognised the button being pushed?
Seems to be the most probable issue here. I don’t have 433 MHz devices. But I think I remember of reading here about issues of failures or issues with distance between the homey and the device.
Hi Dirk,
I have indeed no proof That homey recognized pushing the button. But since you need to push a button to add the device in the first place, and that was working perfevtly - same distance and all- I assume this is working…
1st: For how long do you push? My AWST don’t send a signal which Homey recognises when quickly tapping it, I have to press for at least a second!
2nd: (when having flow issues) I always append notification cards, like push, or cards from a messaging app, like one from CallMeBot;
this to rule out issues with non-responding devices:

@ tools.developer.homey.app/tools/devices you can see it’s data, but nothing changes when operating the button
(Funny: it has no capabilities, but it can trigger flows anyhow? Right…)
I tried pushing several seconds, no difference…
Even is adding the device is working correct, change the battery to be sure it is good.
Press a button nearby Homey.
Make a new flow and then add a then card with only a message to the timeline. Only to try something.
Hi Mike, thanks for the suggestion. The battery also is not the problem. I Put a new battery in and still the same behaviour. The switch is ~ 5m away from homey, but it is able to adress another 433 MHz Trust relais that is about 15m away and 1 floor level below. So if that works, why won’t homey recognize it, apart from the switch initialization…
Btw, i trief another AWST 8802 device - same.
I tried aAWST 8800 (single switch version) - works as expected…
Any other ideas?
Thanks
