Sonoff smart water valve

Hi,

Does anyone have experiece with the Sonoff SWV zigbee? Or does anyone what i can use to water my garden? I can’t find this in the Sonoff app.

Thanks

Marcel

You might want to check this discussion in the SONOFF Zigbee app topic:

Yes, its working but only the turn on and turn off function are supported, all other features are unfortunately still missing. Waiting for the official app to include them. Just add it for now as a basic zigbee device

It is now available as a device, water valve, when you add Sonoff Device, even though it is not listed among the supported devices in the description on the Homey site.
I replaced the Woox because the Woox was leaking. De Sonoff is easy to install and works fine.

the Sonoff SWV is affordable in holland and you can see l/min and m3.

I have two of those. They seem to have a lot of trouble with connection, going offline every day.

I have other zigbee devices in my garden that is working flawless, but my two Sonoff Valves just goes offline every now and then.

Not a good solution. They have a Router just 2 meters away, so there should not be any problems with connection or range.

@Rjwerf do you still get the water flow rate and water use values? I was getting those last year but not anymore for some reason. Which app did you use to add the device to Homey? I used the Sonoff “official” app.

Yes, now I have 2 of them.. one with values, and a cheap on without.
Both work great. (beter Than the expansive ones I had before this one.. )
(hope I don’t forget to put them inside before the winter. (this time)

I have to adjust my post. I had a lot of trouble with the connection and then i bought a IKEA trådfri Power plug and installed it around 2 meters from the valves, and they’ve been working for 6 weeks without any problems. The old router was a Aquara led that was acting as a zigbee router.

This one is in there but not the new one…

I have the new hydro one. But still sees it as a unknown zigbee device.

you can choose general Zigby that should do the trick

Have the same one, did not find an app for it.

But its added as a generic zigbee devixe and will respond to on/off commends.

It does not show the water usage (which I think is measured by this device.

There is one isseu with this device: by default the “water saving” option is on. For me that resulted in switching off after ~15min.

I did not find a way to switch that off, so probably you will need to find a sonoff bridge, connect it and switch the option off.

After that link it to homey again

Most Zigbee devices are reset when you link them to another gateway. However, with the Sonoff bridge you can add it as eWeLink generic device (you need to keep it connected to the bridge in that case):

That’s exactly how I use them now. With me, they also switch off after 10 minutes, but what I find more disturbing is that I can’t read the water consumption.

same here, the old one was no issues but this one will not add the sonoff like should.

Is there a fix?

agree

Hi All,

I too have the same “issue” with the water valve Hydro One. The reason for it to link as an Unknown Zigbee Device is almost certain the fact that this is a new device (ID) which s not yet supported by the Sonoff app.
I have sent in a request with the developer to add the new device.

Is there any news on this? I can add them as an generic ZigBee device. And that should be fine for me, but I also have the issue that it turns itself off after 10 minutes.

Or any solutions maybe?

Thnx!

Connect the device using the official eWeLink app from Sonoff via Bluetooth.

In the device settings, you can change the timer from 10 minutes to 2 hours.

After that, reconnect the device to Homey via Zigbee. The 2-hour timer setting will be retained.
