Solar system from APsystems

Hi Dick, I admire your dedication and understand that this is a hobby project. It takes a lot of time to get something done. Take your time and only provide feedback that you can potentially use. I have three Q2T inverters myself. Good luck with further development.

Hi Peter, I found that sometimes an inverter doesn’t return data. Every inverter reports voltage and I calculate the average value. If one or more inverters don’t return data, the sum of voltage will be too low. I think I’ve found a workaround for that. In the case that I’ve seen, also the reported power and temperature were absent.
I agree that ‘energy usage’ is wrong, I have to figure out where I can change this, because it bothers me too
Best regards, Dick

Hi Johan, thanks! When you encounter strange things, please send a diagnostic report (as of version 1.1.2). That might help me understand why the data is sometimes off.
Best regards, Dick

Pretty chill out there Henk! See my reply to Peter. Also the temperature is an average. When the invertes don’t produce data, this also will be too low.

Hi Dick good evening, understandable and I admire your patience and good work :+1:t2:
I’m already very pleased with the results you getting so far

Thanks a lot and best regards Peter.

@Dick_J , I saw a reply on my diagnostics report to provide a copy of my script in HA. I dind’t use a script, but installed the app in HA:

This morning I saw 0 on the tile of AP systems:

But the detailed info did give the correct info:

Did a diagnostic as well
369d5379-d29d-41fd-9a94-c6b30db643d9

Je hebt zowel power als power usage:

I think you switched then around. Power is the correct one. Power useage is at 0

Also all flows using power levels of the ecu give 0

Hi Dick good morning and thanks for updating the AP systems version again.
And like Patrick already noticed that there is no power seen at the tile, this is because you changed the app and there is no selection possibility here to select the other power in the indicator menu, see screenshot.
Also no reading in the dashboard see 2nd screenshot.
Also not after restarting the app.

Thanks and best regards Peter.

Same issue here. As a solution, I tried restarting the app, restarting Homey, and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. However, now I’m unable to reinstall the ECU.

Energy tracking does still work :+1:t2:, even if power is (temporarily) out

Today app stopped working altogether after the 1.14 update:

Firmware version is not visible either

Made a diagn. Report:

After update: V.1.1.4

Because off the new (great) upgrades, you need to delete the ECU in Homey and a new instal.

Hi Dick good morning, how nice that you repaired this app and add some more details to it.
Everything is working fine here after deleting the ECU-R and re-add it again.

Thanks again for all your effort,
Best regards Peter.

Great!

Looks fantastic. Credits to Dick

Hello
Awesome, thanks for the huge work.
I have an issue on my side : ECU is connected with fixed IP address on the same network, but I get a timeout when trying to add it to homey. Any thoughts ? Thanks

Hi Greg, did you follow the steps in the readme file to get the ECU on the wifi?
What ECU do you have?
Regards, Dick

Hi all, thanks for your support. I’m glad to see that it is working, though I also received a message from someone that it is not working.
I maybe publish a new version that is not different from the current one, just deleted a line of code that makes the app crash (in some cases then).
I myself found that I sometimes need to powercycle the ECU, because no data is coming from that although it does send data to AP systems (over the wired connection I presume).
I will see if I can alert the user to powercycle the ECU in these case, where there is no response from the ECU when sending commands.

Hi Dick, what a great update! Everything’s working fine for me. I just noticed the temperature notification isn’t correct. Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

In my case a cycling of the ecu did not solve it unfortunately. Hopefully I don’t need to re-add, but will get over that as well. Waiting patiently👍🏻
