Hello, I am wondering if anyone has seen this error when adding Aeotec app to SHS?+updates
Firmware
The firmware update system for hardware Homeys don’t work virtual Homeys.
But why doesn’t your SHS update section show this?
So,
When there’s an update, you just pull a new docker image.
The fine manual can be found at support.homey.app aka knowledge base.
Docker compose:
Docker:
Aeotec
This app installs fine.
“Disconnected” means the app store can’t reach your Homey SHS!
(I didn’t do anything special for SHS to be reachable by the homey.app store)
I was able to get Aeotec installed after several random tries, im guessing the USA system was just to busy at the times i tried, i had to send a diagnostics report though because i can not add any Aeotec devices, but its progress!!..
I am using the vmware image.ovf i downloaded from Homey, figured it was best way until i get my Nuc and install Debian Os+Docker..
Ah! I see.
Can’t find anything regarding firmware updates for VM images though.
I think you’d ask in the forum topic as mentioned at the support site:
I’ve an old HP mini-pc running Debian 13 with GUI. It runs H.A. as VirtualBox image like a charm. For me it was the easiest way to start with H.A. back in the day, plus we can’t use the add-ons part of H.A. on Docker.
Homey SHS was installed as Docker Compose image and it works (just fiddling with it).
About adding Aeotec devices:
Did you throw in a Homey Bridge for z-wave?
Or do you have something like SMhub?
Thanks for the info and help…and im 50/50 , i wanted the vmware to keep snap shots and make it easy to move to my server for testing… i’ve have HA running on a KVM on unraid , and Workstation on my other server so i guess ill have to watch and see how people like the installs on different systems… i am using my homey bridge with SHS and i have added zigbee and zwave already so im stumped, i’ll keep taking snapshots, restarting, reinstalling, and maybe go back to the snap shot i took when i first installed it….
