Today I received my Homey Bridge. During the setup I’ve gone through connecting it to WiFi and let it install the updates. After that it fails to connect. Error checking status (Fout bij controleren van status in Dutch). I’ve retried a couple of times and also did a reset a couple of times, but no succes. Any idea on how to solve this?

Thank you. I just did that as well
Have you tried another USB power supply? If that doesn’t fix it then I think it’s a hardware issue
Problem solved setup another WiFi ssid with a simple name (short and only text) with only 2.4 GHz
Hi, I just bought the Bridge today and experience the same problem. I’ve run through all the suggested steps above including changing SSID to a simple name and only 2,4GHz, but still no luck… any other suggestions?
I am having the same issue. I’ve pinged the sites the Bridge uses, and got good responses. It is communicating with athom-services, but somehow after the update it goes bonkers and resumes flashing blue. If I log in to the cloud it appears online and registered, but in the app it says it is still configuring. This is so frustrating!
i have the same issue, had a Athome request ticket, but he stopped replying me on januar 8..
Have you tried another USB power supply?
Same for me, my bridge was working properly for a few weeks. All of a sudden; no more connection this evening.
I tried to re-add the bridge (without removing the entry that does not have a connection)…
During the setup I’ve gone through connecting it to WiFi and let it install the updates. After that it fails to connect. Error checking status (Fout bij controleren van status in Dutch). I’ve retried a couple of times and also did a reset a couple of times, but no succes.
I see on my network that it is able to connect to the network, receive an IP etc.
Tried my normal wifi ssid, and tried to add it to a 2.4ghz ssid too… no succes.
Created a support ticket. Only thing I did not try was to remove the existing entry. I really hope I do not have to add my zigbee devices again ![]()
As far as I know, removing the Bridge doesn’t remove your ZigBee devices.
Only removing your Homey Cloud instance will remove all of your devices.
Wait, does it really remove that? That would be strange. Don’t remove it yet in that case.
have you tried another power adapter?
I use an Apple USB adapter. I’ve been using it for quite a while with my old Homey (2016), because in the past they said the Athom adapters were sub-optimal. I really doubt it would be related to that. I don’t have a different USB-A adapter at hand, could try finding one in the morning.
I have a homey bridge in combination with Homey-SHS. So maybe that is why message is different from the homey-cloud.
Yes, that is likely different. I also don’t know what the issue can be, but since multiple people have issues with this setup, I think it’s a bug in either SHS or Bridge firmware
