Today I tried to change the SSID of our Homey pro. I’ve done this via Firefox.
After I update the SSID succesfully, Homey won’t progress any further. It keeps saying endlessly that it is searching for software updates (Dutch):
I’ve rebooted (PtP) Homey over and over in recovery mode, but I never succeeded passing this screen. This means our house is pretty dumb at this moment, because Homey stopped working…
Any tips or suggestions I can try? Thanks in advance!

When you’re an existing Homey user
Plug Homey Pro in using the supplied power adapter. The LED Ring of Homey Pro will start rotating white, and after a few seconds pulse with a blue color to indicate it’s ready for set-up.
- Open the Homey Mobile App on your iOS or Android device.
- Navigate to the
More tab → tap the
Name of your current Homey button at the top of your screen.
- Press the
+ symbol to add a new Homey.
- Follow the steps on your screen to add the Homey Pro to your account.
Nope. That didn’t work. But suddenly Homey works again, with the new SSID. I realy don’t know how, because the update was still in progress this morning (I kept it on during the night). I chose to abort, turned the Homey back on it’s ‘feet’ and… There he was again.
