So I just had to get a new router and reconnected all my hubs and devices in house. Is there a way to refresh or restore the hub within the Philips hue app in homey to reconnect the devices or do I have to start from scratch?
When you name the new wifi SSID the same as the ‘old’ one, and provide for the same wifi passphrase, the devices should connect.
When you want to change wifi settings for Homey Pro 23:
sadly that isn’t working for me. Keep getting time out errors
Both hints don’t work?
no. For history of what I did/doing…I had to get a newer router for range/signal strength and one that could handle more wifi devices.
My old router setup I had smart connect feature enabled which combined the 2.4 and 5g bands into one and with new router, I had to disable smart connect and broadcast separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5G bands.
For some odd reason with my new router, Homey Pro would always connect to the 2.4 band vice the 5g band. With old router, it always connected to 5g band. For 2 days I would monitor gateway and see HP would switch sometimes to 5g band but eventually back to 2.4. It liked the 2.4 better for almost the entire 2 days. During that 48 hrs Homey Pro was always showing offline or unable to connect in app…maybe that was when it was switching bands. IDK. not to tech savvy.
Ever since I was unable to get anything to sync back up and just decided to factory reset HP and start all over again and rebuild ecosystem.
