I have an old iPad why I can no longer log in with my Apple ID if there was a web version for the dashboards, I could use them again

Even better make all functions available on all platforms.

+1 for dashboards on the web app.
I think the developers are using this mythical 20% as justification of why dashboards are mobile only. I find it hard to believe that 20% of us use the web app, and most of that would be for doing the advanced flows. Maybe if they developed dashboards for the web app then more people would use it. I do find it frustrating that I have to constantly switch between mobile app and web app when doing certain tasks. Even an advanced flow viewer on the mobile app would be something.

There is no official web dashboard, so I see no relevancy of your post in this topic, looks like you’re trying to get your way in an unrelated topic. Doesn’t really help.

Many of us have shared our thoughts about the need for a proper Homey Dashboard on the web interface. To get a clearer picture of the community’s wishes, I’d like to suggest a poll (if allowed/ approved by the moderators).
Do you want Homey to provide the Dashboard feature on the web interface?
- Yes
- No
Hi,
Just FYI, in general this forum uses the ‘like’ icon
to measure popularity.
+1 replies and polls shouldn’t be necessary.
As you can see, the opening post has 128 likes now, which is a pretty high number for requests / suggestions!:
It is also possible to build it yourself through Homey API and vibe coding. You can even build a user management system. Your own thing really. Quite snappy and updates status both ways. I have used v0.dev from Vercel. Chat your way to an app but be prepared on many forks and roll-backs, but it is quite possible with a basic understanding of software and some smartness to see workarounds when you get stuck - bevise you will get stuck…
Is there any “official” way to send and consolidate all these requests to Athome/Homey?
Apparently they don’t pay much attention to this idea when discussed here in forum but perhaps if there was a formal CR.
Or perhaps the is, I might have missed that…
Not quite, this is what “the boss” wrote here:
I’d love a web interface as well.
I think the 20% web usage stat might be misleading here. I’d consider myself part of that 20% because I use the web interface frequently for setup (advanced flows, device configuration) but then switch to mobile for daily use. I would not request this just to look at dashboards from my computer only. It makes it possible to show my dashboards on all kinds of different hardware, since all that is needed is a browser, from Raspberry Pi setups to kiosk modes and more, not just a phone or tablet that requires the full Homey app.
I would assume a decent amount of the remaining 80% may also have visited the web interface once or twice, just for initial setups of (advanced) flows and configuration and then rely on their mobile devices on a more regular basis, only reaching back to the web interface when changes are needed.
So in the end a web interface isn’t just for the 20% of current “power users”, it actually enables the other 80% too.
I was inspired by this, but I have no programming experience
So I asked AI to build me a web based dashboard for Homey, and behold….24 hours later
Works Great.
I also use it to replace the background of the Google calendar with true dark mode, as Google does not support that in embedded calendars. So you can make small web widgets that you use in your Homey dashboard.
I would love to have the dashboard via the web-app. For me its the biggest issue for Homey as all other features and advance flow is web only so it doesn’t make sense to me why dashboard isn’t offered via the web.
Yes on the same boat here. I almost exclusively use the web page because it just can fit more info. Tablet is ok, but the web interface is best for Advanced Flows. To go back and forth between the tablet for the dashboard and the pc for the web interface and advanced flows just makes no sense. Also, I don’t see why development of the dashboard in the app is a problem for the web. Simply said a mobile app is an embedded web page… those can be developed at the same time using the same code. My company has developed many web apps and mobile apps in the same pace that can do the same and look the same (albeit scaling) by the same small team, it’s not difficult. It’s what I miss most about Homey and makes me consider dumping it for HA.
“simple and easy job”… this is what one of the founders wrote in this very same topic.
Not to defend their choices, but to inform you on their view.
BTW you could have found this info yourself, it’s a very easy and simple job
