When in DP Instruction mode, have you tried to control your air conditioner via the raw commands method, as outlined in this post: [App][Pro] Tuya Cloud - #765 by Peter_Kawa?
If you you can, then you would be able to create flows for sending commands and handling status updates. In combination with an advanced virtual device to control those flows.
I have a Tuya-based portable airco and a dehumidifier that were not supported (airco) or only a few controls (dehumidifier) by the Tuya Cloud app, though non of those controls actually worked. Switching to DP Instruction mode in combination with the raw commands methods does work.
