Reolink E1 pro, well that was fun :/

Hi all, i´m a veteran with a homey early 2016 that is puffing on just fine and got my self a Reolink E1 pro. I guess i did not read the internet all about it to find out that is has no web interface and the only way of remote watching or getting a snap is through a public website, bommer.

The ONVIF Homey app finds my camera and i can add it to homey but nothing more. Trying to get a snapshot says either “method not allowed” or “connection reset” so that will not work, more bommer.

Now this cam can be added to other 3:rd party applications like iSpy, IP camviwer and so on so i wonder; is that a way to have homey get snaps from these applications?

Thanks

Ca you send the log from the ONVIF app Configure App screen after you try to get the snapshot?
Also a screenshot of the Advanced settings page of the device in the ONVIF app.

Although I have just found this:

CGI All Reolink cameras and NVRs except for battery-powered cameras, cameras in the NVR kits, E1 and Lumus
RTSP All Reolink cameras and NVRs except for battery-powered cameras, cameras in the NVR kits, E1 and Lumus
ONVIF All Reolink cameras and NVRs except for battery-powered cameras, cameras in the NVR kits, E1 and Lumus

Not sure if the E1 Pro is any different.

Now just found this

Does Reolink E1 Pro support ONVIF?

The E1 Pro supports both ONVIF and RTSP, so I was easily able to add it to my QNAP TS-253A’s Surveillance Station app.

Hey and thanks for your replay: frankly i don´t know what exactly to make out of this is it yes or no  Should it mean that the ONVIF can work with this cam?
I´ve just sent you the log.

Frankly, I don’t know either as the information is conflicting from different sources.
It’s possible the camera supports ONVIF (appears to support motion based on the image you sent me) but not a snapshot. I found a post on the HA forum that suggested the op had use another module to capture a still image from the RTSP stream. Unfortunately Homey doesn’t have the processing power to do that.

I’m following because I maybe want to trade my switchbot pan tilt cam for a Reolink E1 Zoom Camera

So, more reading and as far as i can understand is that the Zoom gots it all, webUI included. Another thing i have emailed Reolink support is that i can´t get anything out of my cam; trying the rtsp stream through vlc gives error, onvif snap link gives error … !?
On their support site it states that a lot more ports can be set up than the only 3 ports i got: server, rtsp and onvif. no http or https port settings. I´ll see what they answer on this.

to be continued…

As an update on this, after some emailing with Reolink support, they acknowledged that http/https is only supported for Zoom which means that it wont work in homey Onvif (except from Zoom). So i’ll see what Reolink has to offer för a Zoom instead.
E1 pro does not support http/https, period.
