I have a few Aqara buttons that are paired to the Aqara M3 hub, which is then connected to Homey via Matter. One of the buttons had gone offline, so I had to redo the setup in the Aqara app. I removed the button from Homey as well. The button is now working fine in Aqara, but I’m not sure how I can get it back to Homey?
When you added the hub as Matter device to Homey, did all it’s connected devices appeared in Homey automatically?
And why did you remove that device from Homey?
Maybe it resumed working after adding it to the Aqara hub (assumption).
Yes- all devices had appeared when I connected it through Matter.
And i waited 24 hours but the button showed as unavailable on Honey. After that, I deleted it. Now I’d like to get it back b
I get it! That’s a bummer.
In that case I’m afraid the way to add additional devices is all or nothing.
And because there’s no app, there’s also no manual.
You’d probably have to remove the hub, remove related devices, then re-add the hub per Matter, to have all devices available on Homey again.
To be sure, I think you’d wait until an other Aqara hub owner can tell you all the (im)possibilities: therefore it’s best to post your question in the Aqara app topic.
Oh dang- not doing that with all the automations across the 20 devices!
In case there’s no other solution, there’s a neat script which can repair your flows after device remove/add actions.
