AQARA M3 hub integration?

Hi all. Long story but I am going to factory reset my Homey Pro 2026 and start again but would it be easy to intervention my M3 HUB into HP and control devices and flows via Homey?

I’m hoping this will give me better reliability ?

really need some help please :+1:t3:

No, there’s no Homey app for the Aqara hubs yet. Since they only have a paid API and their mobile app blocks attempts at reverse engineering, I think it isn’t possible either.

If i am getting what you are asking right. You have all you aqara devices connected to your M3 hub and would like to add that to homey pro and still be able to control them with homey . This is exactly how i set mine up. All my aqara devices are connected to the hub then the hub is connected to homey via the aqara app.

You likely used IFTTT or Google automations with virtual devices. I forgot to mention it but yes, it is possible with third party services like Google Home or IFTTT

Did not use IFTTT or google added the app and then connected. :person_shrugging:

Did you use this app?

That app appears to support Aqara devices via the hub. I thought it only worked with the older hubs, but appearantly also for the newer models?

Aqara | Homey nope the official aqara app

Are you sure you added the hub, or have you connected the devices via Homey Zigbee? The Aqara Hub is not supported by the Aqara Homey app

It pulls the hub in with everything attached. not 100% as i am new to homey so you may be right but by the looks of it. It pulled the hub and all in

You can also set up the M3 as a bridge with out even using the app from what i have read.

I just tried it using the Matter pairing code from the M3 then used Homey to add it via Matter and everything in the Aqara app that was connected to my M3 just carried over no problem.

I use my Aqara M3 hub as a way to get updates for my Aqara products. Since Homey doesn’t have OTA updates yet. Plus Aqara products have additional functionality if paired via Zigbee to their hub. But the M3 is a Matter device and can community with Homey via Matter. When it does this all the child devices attached via Zigbee show in Homey just under the room the hub is in. Then it’s just a matter of changing the name, zone, and icon. The M3 hub automatically bring in newly paired Zigbee devices to the Homey devices for flows and such.
