I’ll be installing quite a few dimmers for downlights and other lamps, but I’m not sure which is a good pick. Since I’m pretty new at this, so hoping to be able to pick your brains on this one.
The following points are what I’d deem most important:
- Local setup, no additional accounts
- Can be used without Homey/other hub (in case of emergency)
- Decent build quality so it doesn’t need replacing every 3-5 years.
- As standards compliant as possible, to avoid full dependency on manufacturers own app?
I was going to go with Elko, before my electrician claimed they were not the best quality and would likely break in just a few years. He highly recommended Plejd, but as far as I understand that goes against pr. 1 and 2, which is a deal breaker for me.
What would be your pick, and why? Any brands that stand out?
