In theorie it should work.
Homey Pro 2016 doesn’t have USB C though, so you’ll need an unusual cable for the usb C connector on the adapter to USB mini connector on Homey Pro (early 2016).

Didn’t even think about the old connector. I might use it as an spare charger instead.
I have only just learnt about this issue after searching about an unrelated other issue.
I bought my Homey Pro (2023) in February of this year, 2024 from Amazon in the UK and it seems the power supply has not been updated since this issue was first identified?
Really disappointing to learn that the performance of my Homey has been nerfed for the past sevon months. This could have been the root cause of other issues that I have spent money to rectify when it comes to wifi/zigbee signal stretch in my fairly modest 3 bed end of terrace house, with a fairly small number of devices, compared to other users on here.
Is the Rasberry Pi 15w power supply still the one recommended when using the Ethernet Adapter?
This is the one I have and it’s still on sale!!!
For clarity I’m also using the official Homey Pro ethernet adapter. I felt wanted to support Homey a bit more at the time I bought it, as I was initially happy with the product.
This development is a bit concerning, however. I wonder if it’s an isolated incident affecting only UK customers?
That power unit is fine.
It should deliver 5.2V and it does, according to this :
When you still happen to have the original shipped power unit, which delivers 5.0V, it could cause performance drops when using an ethernet adapter.
Athom communicated the issues with the first batch of power units, and offered to have it replaced by a 5.2V model, free of charge.

Only looking at the CPU graph is not a good indicator, maybe it just doesn’t need to step up.
You’d look at this value to discover low voltage issues:
