Open up a Homey 2016-2019?

I have got my hands on a defect Homey (2016-2019, not really sure) and would like to take some parts from it. Can anyone tell me how the h€ck I can get into this thing without breaking the globe or the parts inside it?

The two halves are glued together, so it is just a lot of patience and keep running a sharp knife around the middle.

@cbh I have managed to find some time and fit the z-wave antenna. Thanks to @Undertaker idea, I have decided to fit a zigbee antenna, too. So now I was able to crack it open…I have also removed the 4 white plastic screws on motherboard…then what? Is the motherboard glued as well??? Because is seems to sit very tight and fit to bottom part of globe.

As far as I remember it was just the 4 plastic screws that held it in, but it was a few years ago when I took mine apart.

[Modding] Homey Pro (Model Early 201x) Antenna modification

The top half of the white orb is glued to the bottom half, right above the semi-transparent LED ring that runs around Homey. You need to insert either a very thin knife (Exacto-type), or a strong thin wire (dental floss) in between the LED ring and the top (on @TedTolboom’s Homey, it was glued shut so well that we couldn’t use floss), to cut through the glue.
