Today, new Grillplats Matter plug appeared at my local IKEA store. I bought two and, to my surprise, I can’t connect them to HomeyPro. The scanned QR code in the Add mode tries to search/connect, but unfortunately, I get an error message that the device can’t be connected. I’ve reset the plug, but that didn’t help. Let me know if you’re also having problems with these new sockets?

Not able to add either - not via homey or ios. Not sure why, everything else in the network works great - other matter products too?

Was able to get them into homey but added it to dirigera first (to get fw updates) and after that into apple home via iPhone and then to homey. Good 4 now. But there is another issue in homey. The usage w is way off. [IMG_5115] FYI But in in Ikea app it looks similar on the watt usage [IMG_5117] [IMG_5116]

Hello Micke, I used the add device setup in Homey, but directly via the technology Matter setup. I didn’t use the Ikea official app. Then used the connect via Android setup. Place the phone very close (right next) to the socket and follow the logic order of steps. Connected two Grillplats sockets to Homey yesterday. [Screenshot 2026-03-18 122712] The usage w is slightly higher than measured the Inspelling both connected to the same type of hue lamp.

Thank’s for info and also compared with inspelning! Well I don’t use Android so I think a have to wait for the official IKEA app to fix this. What I understand is that’s going to be Homeys job  Once more….. Thank you :+1:t3:

I hope official support in the Ikea app comes soon. I’ve bought many of them.

@Michael_Keller [image]Ikea Bilresa scroll wheel on Matter I also left a comment on the video, but the IKEA app doesn’t change how the device functions with Homey  The app only adds custom icons and pairing instructions. The Ikea app adds no value to the functionality.

[image] Damian_Surma: Grillplats Matter plug You can’t include the Grillplats Matter plug since it can’t find it and I have the plug, Homey 2023 and my Iphone 5 cm from eachother . I’m thinking about to buy IKEA:s bridge and update the fw if it’s a new one!

Did you try both ways? I recently got 3 new Bilresa remotes and at first they would not pair at all, then I restarted both my Homey and the iPhone. Then the first one was able to pair through homey directly, but the other two only paired via the iOS process. Even with a large thread network and close proximity the pairing can be very finicky and it’s hard to tell if this is only Ikeas fault, or also Homeys or Apples.

I also could not pair a Grillplats plug with Homey Pro. I have Ikea Dirigera, which is set up as a Matter bridge, I prefer pairing the Grillplats plug with Homey Pro. I’ve tried rebooting the router, Dirigera, Homey Pro to no avail. Even placing the Grillplats plug, Homey Pro, and my Android phone right next to each other during pairing didn’t help. I must say, treading this Matter over Thread path has been anything but smooth.
