Meross MS605 presence sensor

Is there anybody here that has this sensors configured in Homey? I’m able to configure on Apple home, but not luck with homey pro. I’m alway getting an unable to connect at the end of the process … even when it looks like everything is going OK

same here. I tried to integrate the MS605 in Homey Pro, it does not work. First I tried to configure the sensor direct in Homey, the app found the sensor and tried to integrate him with Thread but in the last step I got the error message “Connection not possible”. I tried it also in Homey by using Apple Home, same.
At last I startet again and used Apple Home for integration. It works without problems. So I think there is a problem in the Homey Integration.

Hi, I got the device yesterday and have the same issue. It is only working with the original meross app. Integration in Homey, even with the meross homey app seems to be impossible. Anybody there who has won this game?

Same issue, no solution yet.

I can start flows via Alexa and the sensor. So a few experiments are possible; but still not what is to be expected of matter over thread.

It’s a relief to see that I’m not the only one this happens to. I bought these mmWave sensors specifically looking for compatible ones, because the Tuya Z-Wave sensors I had weren’t. What really annoys me is that they advertise them as compatible when they clearly aren’t.

Tuya doesn’t make Z-Wave devices, did you mean ZigBee? Those should work either via the Tuya ZigBee app or the Tuya app if you also have a Tuya ZigBee/MultiMode gateway.

You are right .. I mean ZigBee. I don’t want to add more hubs in to my home. Tuya ZigBee app is not recognizing my Presence sensor (ZG-204ZM).

I think that a ZigBee gateway from Tuya would be the best solution to integrate your Tuya sensors, since AFAIK presence sensors send a lot of data over the ZigBee network, which could cause instability of your ZigBee network.

For the meross sensors, it would need to integrate via the cloud if the Matter/Thread connection is not working. It might be possible to build an app for it, but it won’t be possible if the the mobile app has any sort of encryption/CAPTCHA to prevent automation (many smart home apps have this).

I just checked and the Meross app uses encryption, so it likely isn’t possible to build an app for it.

Ah this is disappointing to hear, especially considering this device is half the price of an Aqara FP300. Anyone else get this to work?

Perhaps it’s a firmware issue.

It’s Matter over Thread and is also apparently supported by the official Meross app…

Same here, I also have a Homey Pro, and I get an “unable to connect” message by the end of the process, so disappointing!

Well @Doekse is already aware of the issue from the official Meross app thread, so probably worth merging the two threads,

I do have the same problem. Sensor connects to other platforms but not to homey. Apparently problem is with homey. I hope someone is looking in to?.
