Kidde Smoke Detectors with Air Quality monitoring

Hello,
Is there any support out there for Kidde smoke detectors with air quality monitoring?
I’m coming from Home Assistant and the Kidde integration provides quite a bit of good info for a smart home. Wondering if anyone has tried or looked at this product integration.

Regards,
Lane

Hello Lane,

if the device isn’t supported by a corresponding app, then generally it isn’t compatible with Homey.
Exceptions: Zigbee Lights, Zigbee and Z-Wave smart plugs and in-wall sockets, and Matter devices.
In the “Welcome to the forum!” post you will find links where you can request support for devices and brands.

As you mentioned HA, it’s also possible to import devices from HA to Homey with the official Home Assistant or the Home Assistant community app.
I recommend using the HA community App. And if you have any questions about the HA community app, please take a look at the corresponding app topic: [APP][Pro] Home Assistant - Community App

Thanks for the guidance. I submitted a request for support of the device brand.
I don’t plan to have multiple automation hubs around after switching to Homey Pro so these devices will just be scratched from the list of devices that I’ll be able to control/migrate (the only ones so far).

My goal is also to use just one smarthome gateway / hub, but the HA option could be a temporary solution for you.
Furthermore, there is unfortunately no guarantee that an app will be programmed for the Kidde smoke detectors.

I might actually try writing it myself. Seems pretty straight forward as it is only pulling values from the Kidde cloud for VoC, Co2, temp, humidity, etc. but this would be much later once I get acquainted with the Homey eco system.
