Having a glance of that listing of Zigbee devices I can note that half of them don’t have a registered “route”. On the right I can see “?”…
Ah great. Then you can disregard this suggestion. I am also using INNR smart plugs (SP240s).
I was just going to ask you about the Zigbee section in the Homey Developer Tools, but you already posted a screenshot
.
Some devices have a high error rate on transmission (Tx). Thats not a good sign.
The missing routes should normally populate over time, though in some cases they remain empty (I have some incidental cases), but you have many more.
I do see that you have one IKEA smart plug that is acting as a router device no. 6: Prise Matelas Chauffant. I would suggest removing that one temporarily, due to the known issue with combining Aqara and IKEA Zigbee devices in Homey.
Further I see that your no. 11 Radiateur INNR plug has a 100% error rate, meaning that non of the commands sent by Homey arrive at that plug.
For end devices to work over longer distances they need a stable Zigbee mesh network consisting of Homey itself and other router devices (like your SP240 plugs).
My suggestion:
- First check for possible overlapping channels: Homey’s Zigbee channel vs. IKEA DIRIGERA’s vs. the WiFi 2.4 Ghz channel. Most likely you won’t be able to change the channel of your StarLink router. So if there is an overlap, you’ll need to change them on Homey and/or the DIRIGERA hub.
Once you cleared possible overlaps:
- Remove the IKEA smart plug (no. 6: Prise Matelas Chauffant) from Homey;
- Re-pair the two INNR SP240 plugs via the maintenance menu indicated before;
- Re-pair your sensors to force a new route.
Check is that makes a difference.
Many thanks,
I ll do all these changes and see how the Aqara sensors work.
I keep you posted !
Best, David
I don’t find anything to change the channel of the DIRIGERA…
Should I do anything in the Homey apps and general settings ?
No. But you can find which Zigbee channel Homey uses in the Zigbee section in the Homey Developer Tools (in the bottom section).
If you cannot determine the Zigbee channel of your DIRIGERA then I would at least try to figure out the WiFi channel of your StarLink router. The WiFi radio is more powerful than Zigbee, so might have a greater impact. Not sure what kind of PC and mobile devices you have, but there are (free) apps that scan for WiFi networks and indicate the WiFi 2.4 GHz channel. For example ‘WiFi Analyzer’ on Windows or AirPort utility on iOS.
WiFiman is a great one for Android, also has a spectrum analyzer
I am 100% Apple…
I can use scan devices.
Could you remind me what’s the point to get the wifi address ? I am lost…
In WiFiman (also available on iOS), you can see a graph like this:
Select 2.4Ghz in the bar on the top. You then get this chart. For your WiFi, choose the channel that has the least bars on it. Choose either 1, 6 or 11 and pick between these 3. Anything else will interfere even more.
My graph is not a good example since I live in a very dense environment with many APs nearby and all overlapping as well, but you can just look at the graph in your WiFiman app
What you want to avoid is that your WiFi’s 2.4 GHz channel overlaps with your Homey’s Zigbee channel. Overlap causes interference with your Homey’s Zigbee network and communication issues with your Zigbee devices.
This image shows how both relate:
Source: ZigBee and Wi-Fi Coexistence.
For instance, if your WiFi channel is 11, then that would overlap with Zigbee channels 18-26.
If there is indeed an overlap, then you need to change Homey’s Zigbee channel.
Then I suggest that you install the AirPort app from Apple on your iPhone/iPad.
After you installed it:
- Open your device’s Settings app → Apps → AirPort
- Enable the Wi-Fi-scanner option
Then launch the AirPort app and find the channel:
- Tap Wi-Fi-scan (top right corner)
- In the pop-up window tap Scan
- The list now populates with the WiFi networks found
- Find your WiFi network (typically the first or second in the list)
- Note the indicated channel number (last row of each network found)
Finally disable the scanner:
- Close the AirPort app
- Go back to your device’s Settings app → Apps → AirPort
- Disable the Wi-Fi-scanner option
Hi!
After many search on the web Starlink router does not reveal the used channel.
This is a limitation to avoid after complicated sale services.
Bassically there is not many setting in the Starlink controller app.
That’s why I included an instruction on how to find out the channel in my previous post via Apple’s AirPort Utility app
. Can you please try that?

Enable the Wi-Fi-scanner option
I miss this part!
Starlink: channel 1
Homey: channel 36
Zigbee: channel 20
Okay, so your StarLink’s 2.4 GHz WiFi is on channel 1 and Homey’s Zigbee network is on channel 20. Not sure what you mean by Homey on channel 36, but that seems to be a 5 GHz WiFi channel, which is not relevant for the issue.
The good news is that channel 1 of your WiFi is not overlapping with Zigbee channel 20. So WiFi interference from your StarLink router seems not likely.
Possibly the Zigbee channel of your DIRIGERA hub overlaps with Honey’s. But since you cannot determine on which channel the DIRIGERA hub is operating, I suggest you reset Homey’s Zigbee network.
Homey will then also redetermine the Zigbee channel it uses. The downside is that you have to repair all Zigbee devices/sensors that are connected to Homey. But you would have to do that anyway for most of of them as they are not working.
Perform the following steps to reset Homey’s Zigbee network:
- Remove the IKEA smart plug (Prise Matelas Chauffant) from Homey, if you have not already done so.
- Go to the Zigbee section in Homey Developer Tools;
- Scroll down and click reset network
- Confirm the reset message;
- Wait to the reset completes;
- Then first repair the smart plugs connected to your Homey, except the IKEA one. So only the INNR plugs. You can repair them by opening the plug’s device tile →
Settings → Maintenance → Try to repair. Follow the pairing instructions. - Then perform the same repair acton for all your sensors.
Check if the sensors remain working.
Ok I will do it step by step.
Then do you think I should pair Ikea devices through DIRIGERA or it doesn’t matter if it’s directly via homey ?
Indeed pair IKEA devices to the DIRIGERA hub, not Homey.
In this case this only applies to the one IKEA smartplug (‘Prise Matelas Chauffant’) that is currently connected directly to Homey. The other IKEA devices (bulbs) are already connected to your DIRIGERA hub, if I understood you correctly.
There is very many bulbs all connected to the DIRIGERA.
I just need to pair all the IKEA sensors and the 2 plugs to DIRIGERA.
After that I should avoid to buy IKEA Plugs.
Anyway I have decided to buy only plugs with energy counters…
Hopefully everything will be stable after that!
I hope so too, otherwise we need to dig further ![]()
Regarding IKEA: the problematic combination on Homey is IKEA Zigbee (mains powered) router devices (like smart plugs) and Aqara sensors. I don’t think IKEA sensors (which are end devices, not router devices) are problematic. But since you have a DIRIGERA hub it makes sense to pair all IKEA devices to that hub indeed and eliminate that problem altogether.
I personally also use INNR SP240 plugs as a foundation for my Zigbee network. I have over 30 of them.
I am satisfied with that brand, will do the same…
have over 30 of them
Don’t know what you are doing with so Manny plugs !
Well, I have about 65 GU10 bulbs… Then each one his own oddness ![]()
Most of them make my dumb lights and appliances ‘smart’ ![]()
I see. As my home is design on purpose all light source lines are controllable directly from homey to the electrical dashboard. It’s only for on / off. Then I use the Dirigera to change levels and tones mostly trough flows.
