Insights data missing

Hi,

Today I discovered that I can no longer view any historical data in Insights for any device attribute.

  • In the Android app, all graphs says “There’s no data yet”

  • I also tried Insights via the web interface, which will timeout with the message “Timeout after 10000ms”

  • No matter which device or attribute I select, adding a graph always results in a timeout

Insights was working normally a couple of days ago, and this Homey has been running without issues for about a year.

What I’ve already checked / done:

  • Restarted Homey (several times)

  • Verified that the issue affects all devices, not just a specific one

  • Confirmed the same behavior both in the app and via the web

Additional context:

  • This affects only one Homey (others work fine)

  • I have automatic cloud backups, but I’m hesitant to restore without understanding the root cause

  • The system includes energy monitoring and several sensors with regular Insights logging

Has anyone experienced something similar?

  • Could this indicate a corrupted Insights database?

  • Any recommended steps before doing a factory reset + restore?

Any input or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Which Homey model?

And I have seen that I can add some graphs in insights web but it will take absurd long time. “Last hour” will take 5 minutes to generate.
    ”Today” will take 30+ minutes

Sounds like “bitrot”, a corrupted database or storage (eMMC) wear.
Before restoring a backup (imho a factory reset prior to that isn’t needed):
I suggest to create a ticket @ homey.app/support, and add a system diagnostic report, maybe Athom can find a cause.

BTW Did you change anything in your network / router,
Please read about this fix :

I did see that post and I have always had NTP-service enabled in my pfsense router, but I did try to disable it - without any luck. I will create a ticket and contact support.

If this is a common issue (corrupted storage) I am considering switching over to the self-hosted server where I can use SSDs, Raid and maybe another filesystem

The storage being corrupted after one year is very unlikely. Everything is possible, but it’s just unlikely and not common.
In the early days a user discovered there were way too many writes to the storage, causing wearing it out in just a few years, which was fixed at some point some 1.5y ago.

Update: The problem went away by unpowering my homey for 10 minutes and start it again. Reboot did not help, it needs to be powered off for a while.

I am having the same problem. My Homey Pro 2026 is less than two weeks old. Every Insights graph for every device is blank. A spinning icon suggests that it is working on it but then an alert is posted: Timeout after 10000ms.

I cycled power on the Homey as suggested here and the problem, indeed, went away only to return a few hours later.
