IKEA Timmerflotte

The first new IKEA matter sensor is available and on stock in the stores (in the Netherlands) for just €9,99; the temperature and humidity sensor TIMMERFLOTTE.

They connect easily with Homey, let’s see how they work over time! :+1:t2:

Interested!!!

Agree!
Easy to install, good price, nice looking and a ‘cherry on the top’: standard AAA batteries!

Hi!

Is it possible to use these sensors directly into a flow? For me it seems impossible; whenever I start a new flow, this sensor is nowhere to be found unfortunately?

Probably looking in the wrong place…. But within “apps” it’s not included in the IKEA Tradfy app. Probably a “matter” device is located somewhere else?

Thanks!

Anton

They are not within apps you can find them in the room you put them in for example:

FP300 is connected over Matter.

Did this connect and works in Homey without any “app”? Just added as a Matter device or has it to be added via an IKEA - app?

You can just add it as a Matter device without any app.

Homey apps for Matter devices are mostly there to provide customized pairing instructions and device icons, the functionality is provided by the default matter integration.

@robertklep

Some of the new devices have been hitting shelves early.
For example, the Timmerflotte is on sale for £5!!! at my local store in Croydon, London and I’ll be grabbing a few tomorrow.

The collection is expanding in the Netherlands; the motion sensor and two kinds of remotes are now also available:

Is it possible to use ”Timmerflotte” with Homey PRO early 2019?

Unfortunately not. It does not support Matter.

I wounder why IKEA has crated this device. The device is nice, I have one myself, but I find it strange that IKEA has relased a sensor that cannot be used for any automations within their own ecosystem. All other sensors can be used to trigger lights, except for Vindstyrka and I belive also Alpstuga that can be connected to the Starkvind air filter. Wounder if IKEA are going to release a humifier or dehumidifier in the future.

I also bought 4 of them, thing is that I wanted to calibrate them, and I’ve put all of them next to the Vindstyrka, this one you cannot offset +/- the temperature, so is like the one to start from, I offset all of them to match the Vindstyrka, after 30 minutes of waiting in order to see if they are close or similar.

So all are offset +/- 1 degree in Temperature and +/- 5/10 % for the Humidity, even if I offset them to match Vindstyrka, on their display nothing changes it shows the original values, but in the Homey it shows the offseted values.

Any1 had this issue?

The offset is only used by Homey and is not sent back to the Timmerflotte.

Do you have homey-shs and a bridge? Can you test if these can be paired?

Then it’s a damn joke… again.

When u click it shows a number, when you look at the app it shows another….

So there’s no way to connect this new Matter Over Thread to a Homey self-hosted server on a Raspberry Pi 4? Apparently, you can connect a dongle to it, but you can’t integrate such devices into Homey and create flows with them. Or am I missing some options?

Thx!!

I’m running a Homey SHS via proxmox. There was already an Ikea Dirigera hub in the house. I connected the Dirigera hub tot Homey SHS via “matter”. All zigbee devices on the dirigera hub are now also in Homey SHS. The Dirigera hub also acts as a Thread Border Router. Matter devices are connected tot Homey SHS via the thread border router of Ikea.

I don’t get any firmware updates for the Timmerflotte sensors which I connected directly via Homey.
They are all on 1.0.18 for over a week now.

When I add the sensors via Apple Home, I get a message, that there is an update on 1.0.21, immediately.
