Homey doesn’t support firmware updates (although I think they have been announced).

Is it me or are these new Ikea Matter accessories maybe a bit too cheap?
remote buttons, temp/humidity sensor, they all keep stop working. Not a crashed alert or non-available alert. They just seem to freeze. For example the Temperature sensor keeps freezing (fixed temp and humidity); graph completely flat.
I have no issues with other Matter accessories like the Sonoff’s or even the Zigbee based Ikea products.
Any advice before i will bin them?
That’s a bit strange… I have three TIMMERFLOTTE and all three are working out of the box.

I assume all new Ikea devices are Matter over thread. (My Klipbok is) Is Sonoff using Matter over wifi or over thread? Your Zigbee based Ikea devices are definitely in another mesh as they are Zigbee. I’m having challenges with 1 out of my 3 Klipbok’s as it’s underneath my washing machine and the thread range is limited. I’m still looking for some cheap mains powered Thread appliances in order to build and solidify my Thread mesh but they are limited. So the advice would be to add some thread range extenders to your thread mesh.
@Jurgen_Jacobs Sonof is Matter of Wifi indeed. But I do have devices with Matter over Thread, including some smart plugs in that area and they are working just fine.
Maybe it could be fixed with a firmware update of the Ikea stuff. If only Homey supported Matter OTA updates. I do not have an Ikea hub because Homey told me I do not need additional hubs anymore…
With regards to the cheap Thread routers: I think the new Ikea GRILLPLATS Smart Plugs run Matter over Thread and they are only 9 euro’s.
Yes, i hope GRILLPLATS will be matter over thread as well. They haven’t been released yet (NL)or did i miss that?
Not available in Sweden either, at least officially.
Maybe some pre-sales/test examples are out in the wild?
As I understand, both Grillplats and Tofsmygga will be released in April.
