Hi everyone, I’ve just joined the Homey forum. I’d like to ask you all a question in English. In my current IKEA setup with the Dirigera hub, I often have issues with IKEA switches and sensors frequently dropping offline. I’m wondering if anyone here has experience using these IKEA devices with Homey and whether switching to Homey has helped to solve that offline issue.
From the Ikea range, i have a set of their smart coloured bulbs, a couple of their remote fobs and a windows/door sensor. They’ve been pretty reliable and working well with the homey.
I’ve been testing out the window/door sensor for a year or two now….and looking to get a bulk of these to fit on the rest of the house. Decent price and battery usage is decent i.e. 1 AAA.
It is using homey i.e. the homey mobile app to control your ikea devices. However, in terms of setup/configuration, homey has various apps that you need to install for the relevant device i.e.
Most probably due to wifi 2.4GHz interference
I recommend to read this guide below, especially bullet nº 3.
Most of it applies to zigbee networks in general:
How many devices do you have (which are connected to the net), and how far apart from each other are they? It might be possible that your zigbee network is not stable enought because there are too few router-devices connected. I have no problems with any Ikea device (router-device (such as lamps) or end-device (such as buttons)), using Homey, no Dirigera.
