Abe, Athom:
TL;DR:
This years old phenomenon of unresponsive Aqara sensors combined with Ikea lights + Pro19 is real, and it’s still the same with a Pro23 (following posts I read here).
Both Homey models have different zigbee chips (if I’m informed well).
But, the phenomenon did not, and it does not occur on my z2m + ZBT-1, and later Sonoff ZB dongle-E (EmberZNet), both equipped with an EFR32MG21 series chip.
Apparently z2m has found a way to “align” the Aqara’s and Ikea lights.
Somewhat longer version:
Aqara is the naughty boy, but only when combined with Homey + Ikea lights.
But, my 16 Aqara sensors work here w/o issues @ z2m, on two different z2m recommended dongles: at first the
ZBT-1, and later on the Sonoff ZB dongle-E (coordinator: EmberZNet 7.4.1GA -
chip: efr32mg21a020f768im32 from Silicon labs).
I’ve 2 Pro 2019’s which don’t have the same zigbee chip as the Pro23 (AFAIK).
It ran fine with 12 Aqara sensors (in the fridge, outside, upstairs), no routers!
Only as soon as I added Ikea lights, random Aqara sensors stopped reporting, except for the contact sensors (they tend to stick to their initial route);
It all went back to normal when I replaced the Ikea lights with Lidl lights.
Just out of curiosity I started with H.A. and z2m. All ran fine. After I added the Ikea lights, still everything runs fine.
Here’s you can see a PIR using an Ikea light’s router:
