Every time my Homey Pro (early 2018) receives an update, the Dirigera app only works partially. What I mean is that the app does show status changes of my lights, plugs and even the position of my curtains (up or down), but this only happens when controlled via the IKEA app or direct physical switches. The only workaround I have found is to uninstall the app and reinstall it, after which I also have to re-set all flows connected to these devices. Since a simple re-authentication has no effect, this problem is becoming increasingly frustrating. I am now doubting whether an upgrade to the latest Homey Pro would solve this problem, and with rumors of a new version of the Homey Pro in early 2026, I am faced with a choice: wait for a software solution, or replace my old Homey with an alternative platform such as Home Assistant. Anyone facing the same problems with the dirigera app or its functioning fine in the 2023 version? Or is it not needed as both support matter? Any insights are welcome.
Source please (I mean anyone can just yell things like this).
Whether the rumor is true or not is not the point what i posted about, but I read for instance at coolblue site that the Expected last security update April 2026. The other website i cant remember, just that coolblue kind of confiremed the other info.
And i am not yelling, I’m just wondering if others with an early 2018 or even the 2023 version have simular experiences. And I hope someone has a constructive comment about a solution.
If you mean this:
Then look a bit further for what Athom itself says about this: support until January 1st 2028:
https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/13455016712604-Software-support-for-Homey-Pro-Early-2023
Furthermore, Athom has a very good track record in supporting their Homey’s. Even the very first Homey 2016 is still being supported and gets regular updates.:
So, rumouring about a new Homey in 2026 based on info from 3rd party sites that is clearly contradicted by the manufacturer itself, easily found on their own site, does seem a bit like…
Back to your problem:
I don’t use the Dirigera app myself and have connected all my Ikea devices by Zigbee2MQTT to Homey.
I suppose you searched the Community here for likewise problems/solutions, so you could perhaps ask the developer of the app.
Based on the App page info, he likes you to do that via Github:
I don’t use the Dirigera app but I experience that a number of other apps don’t work properly after a firmware upgrade. Generally restarting the offending apps resolves the problem for me, restarting Homey doesn’t.
Unfortunately the problem seem to gradually get worse, as in more apps being affected, and I don’t really hold my breath waiting for a solution.
