I have three Bilresa double buttons. Can pair them with Homey with effort, but they just loose connection again within a minute. When trying the repair option I can’t possibly pair them again with Homey. Not through Homey, nor through Android…
I’ve seen many people having issues with the Ikea thread devices and many people having no issues whatsoever… Any suggestions what I could still try besides returning the buttons to the store?
It’s not Homey’s fault. Matter and Thread are very unstable standards. These are new standards that haven’t been around long enough yet to be stable. I would recommend getting something with ZigBee or Z-Wave.
FWIW, I had to return my Bilresa. It would pair OK but would lock up after a few key presses. It wasn’t time for me, just the number of presses. I could pair, wait half-an-hour, the first few presses would work, then it would hang up. The Homey side seemed to work OK.
My Kajplats bulbs are working fine, though their range is limited.

That’s due to the used technology. Matter-over-Thread and zigbee are designed to rely on a mesh network, where (in theory) any mains powered Thread/zigbee device acts as signal router/hop. These devices should be in range of the controller, one or more other Thread/zigbee routers at max. 4 meters indoors (find the range limits by trial & error).
