How to Install Homey app on Unifi UC Display - (Need the apk file)

Hi I want to install homey pro on my unifi UC display.. to do that I need the apk file for the homey pro app. I only find the apkx file .. where can I get the apk file to use for this? the workaround that I use now is to load it trough the web.. but Im really intressed in the app working. Anyone who have done this allready? or have an ideea how to do this?

Hej Emil,

This site has the .apk version, but only v8.2.2 as highest app version. But it’s a start, right?

Oh, and here’s a manual on how to extract the apk file from an installed (homey) app on your phone: Top 5 Ways to Extract APK File of Any App on Your Android Phone - TechWiser

In short: Just install Android File Explorer, press Apps, and long press Homey app and tap ‘Backup’.

Lovely! works perfekt, this realy made my day :):grinning_face: I had been looking for a wall mounted a control unit, now with the choise falling on the uc display and homey app installed its just perfect :slight_smile: thanks for help

I showed in this topic how you can backup your current Homey app as .apk file (Android).
Newer isn’t possible :wink:

yes.. ehm .. I have a iphone… – but I will figure something out, borrow a android phone..thanks for quick replay.. the 8.2.2 works, but is missing some from what I have on my phone..

so i have now tryed all the ways to extrakt the file.. and I just cant get it to work.. crashes every time… I think it has something to do with System Requirements
