Android version on APKMirror.com is outdated would it be possible to host the new one there?

Hi guys,

I try to install homey on 2 tablets I have at home, the idea is to display some dashboards there.

I could see that on apkmirror.com only version 8.2.2 is available. (No dashboard yet)

Could you please upload the last versions ? :slight_smile:

Why not simply download the latest version from the Play Store? Or do your tablets not have the Play Store?

And: you should ask Athom via their support page. They don’t actively read along here, or at least, they say so… :wink: This is a user forum.

But I don’t think they see a real benefit in uploading their app there. APKMirror is mostly filled by others, not the manufacturers themselves.

If your tablet doesn’t have the Play Store, you can try the Aurora Store:

Not sure if it works from phone to tablet, but worth a shot:
You can create an .apk file from an installed Homey app;

On your phone (or tablet) with a functional Homey app:

  1. Install FileManager +
  2. Tap “Apps”
  3. Scroll to “Homey”
  4. Longpress the Homey icon
  5. Tap “Backup”

Hi, good to know :slight_smile: it’s a last resort solution but would work for sure.

I don’t know why Homey stopped the publishing to apkmirror however… it was officially them doing that not a random guy..

TLDR; I try to degoogle as much as possible especially with my IoT stuff. Privacy reason essentially.
No, my tablet do not have google play store nor a google account intentionally.

Also I plan to install it on an nspanel and potentially a shelly xl board, it’s easier to upload an APK there too.

But I don’t think they see a real benefit in uploading their app there. APKMirror is mostly filled by others, not the manufacturers themselves.

Take a look at the link I posted you will see it was uploaded by Homey to APKMirror actually.

You have your vision, your needs and its perfectly fine.
But others have other needs ideas and should also be considered eventually.

I do not see what is wrong with my message above. If you don’t like the answer you’ve been given, or even if it contains an error, there’s no need to react in such a way. This community is friendlier than that.

I think you could have send this as a personal message but well…

I deleted the message because I realized I could send you a private message for that feedback and avoid polluting this thread with this.
